My 1 ton chevy's hydraulic pump seal failed, my fault, I bought an Auto Zone Rebuilt Transmission, Planning to save thousands, stupid idea, I thought I did everything right, One year later, I was in Giddings and fluid dumped out everywhere, So Pulling my transmission out again, No fun in August, .I Got the transmission to Cottmans on South Congress / WM Cannon area, These Guys Rock ! My transmission came on during my drive from Buda to Austin and I panicked. Took half a day off from work assuming the worst and had my credit card ready. Called ahead to let them know I'd be coming and talked with Boston Don. After arriving they hooked the car up to the sensor and several things showed up. Had a few ideas and then it became a joke. On me! I hadn't tightened the gas cap completely when I filled up 2 days prior, which set off all the codes. A quick rescan with it tightened and I was good to go. Don pointed me in the right direction of some items that should be looked at in the next few months and sent me on my way. I'm so very thankful for the honesty and good laughs we shared during my visit to the shop. Highly recommended!

I will not take another vehicle anywhere else from here on out! The first time I had work preformed at Cottman's was when my 2010 Chevrolet Traverse had an issue back in January (2016), when I had originally taken it to the dealership and they had given me a quote to fix this said problem of $1,300. After calling around to a few places, I found Cottman's in South Austin, where they gave me a great deal, repaired my truck and I walked out with the problem fixed for only $700! I knew at that point, that wouldn't ever take my truck back to the dealership and this shop had made a lifelong customer! I just got my truck back for an A/C issue today, after taking it in to have the guys look at it. Don was an absolute joy! At first glance, it seemed as though my truck would need a new A/C compressor, which he had originally quoted me a price for, but after getting in there, they noticed that it wasn't as big of a job as before. It's always nice to know up front, the worst case scenario and what the out of pocket expense could potentially be, but when it happens where they can save you some money, now that is OUTSTANDING! Like I said before, I won't ever take another vehicle elsewhere... Cottman's in South Austin is the way to go for any and all vehicle repairs that are under there expertise! My A/C is COLD and I won't have to deal with driving around in the HOT Texas summer sun thanks to these wonderful guys! Thanks again, Don! You all are amazing!

For the second time, Cottman's has done an outstanding job on the transmission on my 1989 Oldsmobile "Delta 88." First, they rebuild it and, second, replaced the gaskets to stop some leakage. Both jobs were done in exemplary fashion. In particular, I commend Center Manager Terry Horwitz. His professionalism and competence are great.

Just want to give a shout out to Dave at Cottman located on Congress. I can say he was so helpful. We had our motor-home fixed in one day. He promise he would try his best. And his promise was good. We were satisfied and my motor home was fixed at a good price. I can say I will always will recommend Cottamn Transmission and Total Auto Care.
