Horrific Experience
My family has gone to Aico for abt 24 yrs. we loved her. Several months ago, my husband went in for a tooth that was bothering him. He was numbed up, and 2 technicians were working on him before Aico came in. He noticed one technician seemed momentarily unnerved while using some apparatus in his mouth. The 2nd tech, and Aico, commented on a mark in his mouth after the first tech had been working on him. About a half hour after he came home, this spot started gushing, literally out of control, gushing, blood. We went directly to the ER. Two ER drs confirmed there was a laceration. He lost over a pint of blood. Four calls to Aico went unanswered through that afternoon and night. The ER drs considered admitting him. Stitches didn’t stop the blood. I have pictures from the hospital, with a 4’ suction tube in my husband’s mouth, full of blood, sucking the flow into a container behind him. I have the two ER drs stating that this was a definite laceration that occurred. The hospital pharmacy concocted something to staunch the flow, and it worked, as long as he held his mouth still. When I called the next am, Aico got on the phone, and acted as if she’d “just seen” that I’d called four times the day and night before. She denied any responsibility whatsoever, saying it looked like “there might have been an infection there.” As if they’d be working on a tooth with an infection in the area, right. She had him come in a couple of days later, stuck to her story. We went to see an oral surgeon, as the area was not healing correctly. He stated that what happened to him in Aico’s office was that a facial artery had been nicked, explaining all the blood. He gave him an antibiotic wash to use, and saw him again to make sure he was properly healing. He also called Aico, who then called my husband, and said she would wipe off the charges, if he would sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. We instead disputed the charge with CareCredit, and were successful in the charge being cancelled. This was traumatic not only bc of the dismissive and dishonest behavior by Aico and her tech, but bc she had been pretty much beloved by our family. She’s not the same. She also had techs fill my son’s cavities, and his teeth have been uncomfortable since. She not only is delegating too much to these techs, but has apparently lost sight of her ethical code. It was heartbreaking and infuriating to see my husband go through this. Be warned. This practice is riding on what it once was; not on the chop shop it has become.

I have sensitive teeth and they use a spray before cleaning, makes cleaning pain free and gentle. No wait times and always very professional.

Always wonderful experience!
As much as a dental visit can be "wonderful" this is it. The hygeniest is thorough and always makes sure that I am okay as she is working - stopping if I need a break. Reviews extra options clearly, with costs, in order for me to approve or not. Very good work & cleaning. Wait time -maybe 5 min. Max. Dr. Aiko - been going to this practice over 18 years and I really hope I never have to change. She is kind, compassionate yet also let's me know where I have to pay more close attention (flossing). Would highly recommend!

Excellent service but with one glitch
All was terrific. BUT! Only exception is the newfangled X-ray machine. It requires the patient to stand up while a machine rotates around the shoulders. It does not work for large people like me. It hit me & forcibly began pushing me around and nearly injured me while my jaw was clamped on to a metal placeholder. My Xrays were later taken the old fashioned, easy, and painless way. i am hoping that Dr.Aico DITCHES this bad technology. It's what we in I/T refer to as "beta technology"... unperfected & risky. I should not have been treated like this.
