Money is their biggest concern, not patient care.
They do not have evening or weekend appointments, and at one point I wasn't told there would be an extra charge for services until after my children received it (sealing teeth). The dentist also took a vacation for several weeks right before school started which seems to be the worst time for a dentist to take a vacation but I was willing to overlook all of this until the following happened. Despite this, I was constantly recommending them! After my family had been patients for over 2 years, they cancelled an appointment because I didn't confirm it. They sent a text cancelling the appointment on a Saturday (the appointment was for a Monday) and I responded within a minute. They told me they already filled the appointment. My husband called immediately after (because I was at our daughters recital) and was told that we would have to call back Monday because they couldn't do anything about it on Saturdays (but they could cancel an appointment???). They also told him they cancelled it because someone had a dental emergency ($$$) versus our son's fillings ($). We had been waiting months for this appointment because the dentist took a vacation at the end of summer, and it was the first available date that would not affect his school schedule. On Monday morning, I begged and pleaded with them trying to explain why that specific date and time was important (isn't that the whole point of appointments?), so it wouldn't disrupt his school routine and cause him, his family, and teachers undo stress. They continuously talked over me, and I was constantly interrupted when I was attempting to explain our schedule for the day (I had a meeting at work before the original appointment, and other obligations). They gave me another appointment that was before his original one (I just asked for an appointment between noon and 3, or after 4) and when I told them it wouldn't work because I had a meeting at work they told me I had to choose between work and his appointment!!! During all four phone conversations they were more focused on blaming me for not confirming the appointment (although I didn't see anything saying that if the appointment isn't confirmed it would be cancelled, or any warnings) than helping finding a solution to help their patient of over 2 years...a 7 year old boy with autism.
