Wont go there again
I really want to like this shop, but I can’t bring myself to saying my experience was anything short of disappointing. I took in my 2008 Vw rabbit 2.5l there, never again. Not to mention it’s an hour drive from my home each way. I payed to get my engine computer tuned and they ended up frying the engine computer. It took NINE WEEKS(from the day I dropped it off to the day I picked it up) for them to have the car back to driveable, even tho it was supposed to be a 30 minute procedure. They did provide me with a free loaner(tech’s personal car), and I admit they were very nice on the phone and in person. However it took me calling in almost every day or every other day to get info on the vehicle - after I asked repeatedly, every time we communicated that I please get a call or at least a text saying “hey were doing X” or “sorry, nothing done today, waiting on Y” etc. I understand some of the time wasn’t their fault, it was 3rd party wait time(dealer waiting time, part shipping time, tech not working certain days, etc). They ended up replacing the engine computer(multiple times), an a/c sensor(that my or not have been bad) and the engine cooling fan. They also performed an alignment, because I asked for it from the inconvenience, and they tried charging me $200(I said don’t worry about it that’s the most expensive alignment I’ve ever heard of - and I worked at a jaguar dealership - then they said we already did it so you can have it for free). They also had me drive there 3 times telling me it was fixed when it wasn’t, so I wasted 6 hours of driving total - and another 4th time to drop my extra keys off(to make sure they get programmed with the new computer, luckily I was going to Austin anyway so that one was just a slight detour). I asked the tech to drive the car home and verify it was all working properly and he agreed he would and did - mileage says he didn’t. I was told because it was their mistake(personally by the tech), I would not have to pay anything additional to the tune’s original price. But in the end I was charged with an additional $200(for the cooling fan...their price with their markup - I refused to pay labor for install, which they were also trying to charge me for) on top of my original $400+($600+ total). The tech argued “we only worked on the engine computer, the fan is a different system we have to charge you for that” even though he personally told me HE would do and pay for(not ME) whatever it needed to fix the car, because it was all working when it came in. Well, it’s a COMPUTER CONTROLLED ELECTEONIC FAN, guess what makes it work - answer: pre-fried computer. In the end I just payed the additional $200 because honestly, I wanted my car back. I’ll never go back to that shop and will definitely steer anybody I know and needs a car worked on away from them. When I picked the car up I still had to take it to the dealer because neither the dealer(who they took it to to program the engine computer), nor the shop checked that(including the cruise control) was working as intended, and had to have cruise control reactivated in the computer with the scan tool at the local Vw dealer. I called the tech back immediately after I noticed, he called the dealer to let them know I was on the way and luckily got it sorted out quickly. And I was finally able to take my finished car finished home. In the end, they were the closest shop to me for what I wanted done. I used them and they have many, many good reviews - IMHO to me they were a fail. I had their car for so long, honestly I’m not even sure if it did get the tune I payed for or not because I can’t tell any difference(yes, I know it’s not a huge increase in power it provides so it may be just the tune is not very noticeable in any case) from before.

Best shop in Texas. Period. Hand down.
Mike and Michelle always provide not only top notch customer service, but are very friendly and very knowledgeable. Brought my 2008 R32 in for an alignment about a year ago after being referred by another shop, and Brink has become the only place my car will go. Ever. From doing my timing chains and routine maintenance, to installing my tune, cams, and downpipes - they knock it out of the park every time. If you own a German car, there is no other place you should be taking it!

Arguably my favorite business to patronize. Period.
Time and again, Mike and the team at Brink Motorsports provide top-notch, honest and friendly service. I can't stress enough that if you own a German automobile in Austin, this is your shop. Thank you, Brink, and keep up the great work!

The best for Audi in Austin
Over the past four years I've been to Brink several times for repairs, maintenance and performance upgrades. Each time I've been impressed by the professionalism and fairness of the folks there. Michelle and Mike know everything there is to know about Audi vehicles. They will explain things to you in a patient and clear way. They will not try to sell you a service you don't need. They go the extra mile to earn your trust and to make sure you're satisfied. Their prices are considerably lower than at dealerships, and their work is as good as or better than at the dealership.

Keeps spamming me even though I have never used their services or provided my contact information
No matter what I try, these people keep sending spam emails. I have never used their services and do not live in Austin. Do not recommend.

Excellent install of a turbo screen relocation kit
I recently had a turbo screen relocation kit installed in my Audi S7. The reason was to be able to clean the screens regularly so the turbos will not starve for oil and seize up. This kit is new on the market and had only been installed on one other car in the US. The people at Brink did research on the company and the kit before recommending it to me. It was a difficult installation to relocate the oil lines and shield them from heat. The technician did an excellent job and it looks factory. Now the screens are on top of the engine and easy to service when needed. I had complete confidence they would do a great job since this is the fifth time they have done upgrades on my car (bigger inter cooler, down pipes, Flashing the ECM and transmission) So I would strongly recommend Brink to do any and all work that your Audi or VW might need

Fantastic first impression
As a first time visitor, the team at Brink Motorsports exceeded my expectations for my Audi. I came all way from San Antonio based off of several recommendations, and let me tell you, it was worth it! I had several parts and a tune added to my car. Brinks MS was very patient in explaining what to expect, and even came in after hours for me to drop my vehicle off. Bottom line, they were very accommodating and performed top notch work.

The place to go if you're an Audi/VW enthusiast
I bought a new Golf Alltrack and went straight to Brink for a tune. I had my TDI Sportwagen tuned a few years back and was pleased then. Mike's biz has grown considerably since then and I'm glad to see the new, much better, location and added staff. Michelle is the face of the business and she clearly knows her stuff. She was able to answer all my many questions without skipping a beat. My tune was ready in under an hour and Mike explained how it works and do's and don't's and I was on my way. I plan to come back to Brink for all my maintenance and look forward to it. I'd like to see a better designed reception/waiting area with better lighting, but where it counts, Brink has it going on.
