Superior Pediatric Dentist! Friendly, professional, caring! Dentists, hygienists and staff!
We have been with Cary Pediatric Dentistry since they first opened, since my son was a toddler now through young adult. And have several friends who have been there for the same amount of time, Drs. Elliott and Molina and ALL staff and hygienists, Each and Every person there, have the utmost courtesy, respect, expertise, caring, superior service, knowledge and professionalism. They always go the extra mile for my son's dental care, and for me as a mom of a child with special needs. My son has special needs and I drive 50 minutes to this practice. They are always there for us, typical cleanings, emergency care, hospital referral, specialty needs, even extra caring when my mother passed away. I am forever grateful for them working with us, especially Dr. Elliott,,when my son wouldnt even sit in the dental chair! He and his staff were so supportive, implementing a mutually-developed goal oriented plan and working gently with my son who has autism and down syndrome, and now my son sits comfortably for his cleanings! Now, no need for anesthesia at the hospital surgical OR for dental cleanings! And now, we dont have to endure fillings and tooth repair every few years because my son wouldn't sit for cleanings! I say thats a spectacular outcome for my son! We have had experiences at several other pediatric dental practices trying to find someone closer, but we have never found a practice that meets the superior service at Cary Pediatric Dentistry. I am respectful of everyone's experience, but I find the low review unusual for this practice.

Not recommended for numerous reasons
After almost two years of trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, we finally left for another practice for the following reasons: 1) They refuse to schedule anything early morning or late afternoon, saying they want everyone to share the less popular times in the middle of the day. When asked how that works with school and work, I was told to take a day off and have the kids skip school. They claim you're allowed a time of your choice once per year, but then they'll claim "nothing's available" for the days or times you want. 2) They overbook and rush. The typical wait is at least 15+ min after your appointment time. The dentists have never spent more than 60-120 seconds with the kids, who rush through after the hygienists are finished, saying "uh huh" and then move on to the next patient. The only good thing is if your kids are timid, they'll barely have any time to interact with them. 3) They're out of network, and their charges are way over the amounts allowed by insurance. Despite what they claim, they set the prices. 4) The technicians are hit or miss - some are super sweet, others are very standoffish. We've lucked out about half the time. 5) The desk staff is horribly rude. They'll ignore you to gossip to each other, and if you don't want to schedule something mid-day, be prepared to be treated poorly. There are quite a few pediatric dentists in the area, within one hour I had already found three that had much better scheduling policies and friendlier staff and I had no problem getting an early morning appointment in a couple of weeks.
