New patients be cautious
Not happy with first experience. Very clearly communicated to staff I wanted the loose tooth removed and the amount of pain and sensitivity of the tooth. Dentist enters and says we can save the tooth with root canal and crown. What did they not understand about "please extract the tooth". More concerned about making money than patient request. Doctor withdrew syringe allowing numbing agent to disperse into my mouth causing me to gag. Was charged more for the procedure than origionally quoted. Hygienist assistant left the worst impression. Please think a little before you speak. When reviewing health history, she asked questions from the questionaire that were clearly answered (if I answered no major surgeries on the questionaire, then when you ask again, the answer is still I have had NO MAJOR SURGERIES), proceeded to tell me there were no stitches ( really, I was awake and aware of everything the dentist did) and that I needed to eat soft food. What do you think I have been doing for the past several days because of the pain I've been in???? Do you really think I'm going to eat a steak dinner or chips and salsa with an open hole in my jaw????? Really, wow!!!!!! The doctor was concerned that I felt no pain. Staff seemed taken back that I was not interested in any future services from them. Not interested in paying for multiple flat screen television and Netflix subscriptions. There to have dental work done, not to be entertained. If you need to be distracted while having dental work, take your own phone or tablet.
Response from Crozet Family Dental
"Not happy with first experience. Very clearly communicated to staff I wanted the loose tooth removed and the amount of pain and sensitivity of the tooth. " At any dental school in the country, we are taught to diagnose the problem first and present options to the patient. We went to dental school to save teeth first. It would not be good service for the doctor to blindly pull teeth without first diagnosing the problem and determining if tooth can be saved. Ultimately the patient makes the decision, but it is our job to give you options and education. "Dentist enters and says we can save the tooth with root canal and crown. What did they not understand about "please extract the tooth". More concerned about making money than patient request." I would give my associate dentist a pat on the back for trying to save the tooth here. We are not more concerned with making money as you claim. We have over 3000 active patients and we are incredibly busy, I do not care if you choose the less expensive option, but I would be giving bad service if I did not diagnose and present you the better option. "Doctor withdrew syringe allowing numbing agent to disperse into my mouth causing me to gag." What you described is incredibly common and there is not a dentist in the world who can deliver local without patient experiencing a bad taste. "Hygienist assistant left the worst impression. Please think a little before you speak. " I will speak with the assistant, my staff is wonderful people, and now you are insulting them, the people that tried to help you get out of pain. I will be sending you a dismissal letter from our office, because I do not tolerate people insulting/ abusing my staff. I believe they did a fine job based on what you've said above. I hope you can find an office to meet your expectations, but I think you are unrealistic. "When reviewing health history, she asked questions from the questionaire that were clearly answered (if I answered no major surgeries on the questionaire, then when you ask again, the answer is still I have had NO MAJOR SURGERIES)" Whenever we pull a tooth, we have a secondary method of questions beyond health history that are repetitive, this is designed to protect our patients and increase quality of care as some people fly through the med history. This is called SIMAX and used whenever a surgical procedure is performed in our office, it is standard and I am glad my team did this. You may recall layers of repetitive questions in a hospital setting as well before surgery, this is designed for your safety. "Not interested in paying for multiple flat screen television and Netflix subscriptions. There to have dental work done, not to be entertained." Netflix is 14.95/ month, we are sorry for providing an amenity to our patients and in reality it does not increase cost of your care. Most people with dental anxiety appreciate it. I think it's clear we are not a good fit as your dental providers, and I wish you the best of luck. As owner and reading your feedback, I stand by everything my staff did.

First Class Dental Care
I have been a patient of both Dr. Willis and Dr. Taylor. I am impressed with the knowledge of each, and I trust them 100% with my dental care. Highly Reccommend.

Looking forward to completeing the process in my next visit.
Things were very well explained as to the process that was taking place today. The hygienist was friendly and made me fill at ease as well as explained the options I had though out the visit. The billing process was confusing but I'm sure our questions will be answered in the near future.

appreciate the great service
Dr. Taylor took my concerns very seriously and spent a lot of time fixing my problem. It is wonderful to have a dentist I trust and can rely on to care for my teeth. The staff was quick to call and offer me an earlier appointment when they had a cancellation.

Pleasant considering it was a dentist appointment! :)
I felt very comfortable while being there. The only thing I feel could be improved is to make sure everyone is on the same page. I was told one price and charged a different. That was a little upsetting. However, overall it was a pleasant experience.
