VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!
I was going to recommend this company because they were fast in responding and coming out to do the job but never finished small little items that were left behind. They stated that they will be back the following day and never did to complete the job but they did return to pick up an equipment that they left behind like a thief in the night. They arrived early morning and entered the property without permission and retrieved their equipment and snapped off my yard gate and hung back like we were not going to notice. I reached out to let them know I was aware of the broken fence and what time they were returning to do the job and no response. Very unprofessional of them and will never recommend them to ANYONE!!! DO NOT USE!!

Beware - Don't Use!
Discount Tree Service, license #B663, Browarddiscounttree@gmail.com - DO NOT HIRE! A person named Alex is the leader of Discount Tree Service. While going through the quote receipt process with multiple vendors, he was extremely responsive, gave us the best price, and had very good ideas for scheduling the work to fit with both the City of Plantation, FL strict permitting and inspection requirements, and the monthly bulk pickup schedule. All of that stopped once we agreed to hire him and the first phase of work started. To be fair, the work we requested to be done was probably more complicated than the normal work that his company does due to the need to coordinate his team's work with bulk pick up, permit timing, and inspection timing. That being said, it was Alex's idea to coordinate bulk pickup usage in order to save cost, and he stated that his company does so frequently. Discount Tree Service has left us in a very difficult situation. Their lack of communication and unprofessionalism has left us scrambling to find another company to do the work in order to meet the bulk pick up, permit, and inspection timing needs. We are also going to have to incur significant additional cost to clean up the mess that they left. Pay a little more and hire professionals to avoid the additional cost and unnecessary anxiety. The scope of work agreed to up front and the issues we experienced are outlined below. Scope: Completely remove 3 large trees and 3 ornamentals (including stump grinding), and clean up 2 large trees. Perform the work at the beginning of each month in the days before the City of Plantation bulk pickup. Limit the amount to be cut on the trees each month to the amount that the City of Plantation bulk pickup service will take away. Cut the limbs and trunk in small enough sizes so that they can be moved by a human and meet the City of Plantation bulk pick up requirements. Complete all work in accordance within the time schedule required by the City of Plantation permit and inspection requirements. Issues: During the first service visit, the company cut more than could be put out in bulk pick up (did not follow the agreed to scope). There was no more room to put the material in our front yard near the street where it gets picked up. They even covered one side of our driveway and asked our neighbor to put material in his front yard. As a result, they left very large limbs in three large piles in the middle of our backyard, and intended to leave it like that until they returned for the next month's service. In order to not kill the sod in the middle of our backyard and have an eyesore for a month due to their mistake in cutting too much, we asked them to stack the material on the side of the house next to the gate they would need to move it trough for next month's bulk pick up. After extended non-responsiveness from Alex regarding this request, the work was done. While not ideal (sod on the side of the house now getting killed) compared to the agreed to scope, the solution was acceptable. Extremely difficult getting Alex to respond regarding coordination of work for the second visit. During the second visit, the company: Broke 2 sprinkler lines Broke a piece of our seawall, leaving the cement bag sitting in the pond behind our house Left an enormous tree limb in the water behind our house (will not pass inspection by the City of Plantation) Created and left small and very deep holes in multiple locations throughout our yard, making it dangerous for our kids to play in the backyard (you can't see the holes well, but they are very deep and could easily result in a broken leg or sprained ankle). Again, cut more than was able to be put out in bulk. They did move the extra to the side of the house, but did not stack it nicely. Instead, they left it strewn all over the side of the house. Left huge trunk and limb pieces (did not follow the agreed to scope) on the side of our house. We now need to pay to get these cut smaller and/or pay to have them moved by heavy machinery. Did not finish removal of the first tree. They left the stump, telling us that they would be coming over the next week to grind it. The work crew leader assured us that we would not be left hanging with the work not done in time to meet the permit and inspection requirements. We reached out multiple times to get the stump grinding done with no response. Extremely difficult getting Alex to respond regarding coordination of work for the third visit. We were literally begging him due to the permit and inspection timing constraints. We tried repeatedly to reach him from multiple different phone numbers, left voice messages, email, and text with no response. We even asked him to let us know if he did not want the work to please let us know so that we could quickly find someone else. Finally, he answered a call (I think no recognizing the # an

The worker was on his phone half the time and then didn't stay around to see if bulk pick up which was down the streest would pick it up.. they didn't ....not an arborist or a tree expert..
