Horrible Management Company
I can't say enough about the incompetence of this company. As February 23rd we have not yet received a rent payment. We did receive notice that Eastside received payment from the renter on the first of the month. We've called the incompetent staff who have no idea what to say or do and do not solve the problem or return our calls. They also did not perform their routine check of the property over the summer. We received a notice from the city of our rental home indicating that the yard was overgrown and that we would owe a fine. Getting the company to do anything about this was like pulling teeth. We had to contact a lawn service on our own. I see no benefit to using this company and cannot wait until our contract has expired. I imagine I will be broke by then....

Avoid Eastside Property Management Company at all cost!
If I could give Eastside a zero star review I would. I would warn everyone to stay away from Eastside Property Management and to stick with a company that will follow through on commitments. We used Eastside to rent out our property for 5.5 years. I was utilizing a property management company because I did not want to deal with the day to day hassle of being a landlord. On most tasks Eastside was provided with, they would drop the ball and then accept zero accountability. The icing on the cake was when they told me in May they had secured a 1 year lease on my property. Somehow, they forgot to get the paperwork signed and as a result under Michigan law it defaulted to a month to month contract and my tenant was able to move out without penalty. When I found out the lease had not been signed, Eastside avoided my calls and emails. I was told multiple times that I would receive a phone call from the owner. Despite multiple phone calls and emails to Mike Bommarito, he never acknowledged my concerns and Eastside never apologized for failing to do their job. They actually texted the tenant and said “The owners are really pissed. Are you signing the lease or moving out.” That is no way to conduct a business. With other options for property management companies, I would advise everyone to stay clear of Eastside Property Management company at all costs.

I would never again use Eastside to manage a property. They are a shady business. Late monthly payments for rents. Security deposits not returned in a timely manner. Excuse, upon excuse, upon excuse when answers were needed. Lengthy wait times for repairs. Do your homework, and use another more reputable company.

Terrible property management service for renters
I rented with East Side for a few years, and I always paid my rent and bills on time. They were late and slow to move forward on every repair needed at the property, and they would not respond to emails or phone calls for weeks when I requested repairs. It required multiple follow ups for anything to be taken care of at the property. Their staff seems somewhat incompetent and they would ask me to rearrange my schedule to accommodate things that THEY needed to do, when the lease said nothing about me being required to be home. They also lost their spare set of keys to my building and individual unit, and backhandedly accused me of changing the locks. It was a whole ordeal when I gave notice to move out because they had lost their set of keys. They pretended like "sometimes keys just stop working." No, they lost the keys, which was really irresponsible and could have been a security risk. It has been over 30 days since move out and I have not received my security deposit back yet, either. I would never recommend anyone rent or lease with East Side.

Would Not Recommend To any One
I agree with the past complaint POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. They are not for the renter at all. I as well waked into a dirty house and was charged $250 for cleaning and when it came time for repairs they were not fixed. We had a foundation leak that was suppose to be fixed at move in and was never fixed, and was currently growing mold. Its been almost 60 days and I still haven’t received my security deposit and had to pretty much beg to get my inspection list that came with ridiculous charges that I have to dispute witch makes this even more unbearable to deal with, and they cant even talk to me, they never return my phone calls. Being a renter I thought going though a company would help solve these issues, but stay far far way from this one. Worst experience and bad business etiquette I have ever dealt with.

Poor Customer Service
We had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with this property management company as tenants. In the beginning, we were treated with 'smiles and pleasantries, but as soon as requests for maintenance services came their way, we were "problematic" for the office. We were made to feel as though we were an inconvenience, even though rent was paid on time. They charge a "cleaning" fee but do a poor job cleaning, (and this was brought to their attention). After a while, the relationship was severed and we had to end it.

Great property management
AWESOME property management company! I know because I had an awful company before I was fortunate enough to sign up with East Side. Very friendly, proactive, informative and trustworthy. They do a great job giving the owner as many options as possible while still representing the tenant. Worth every penny and then some! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a property management company.
