Excellent Contractor
Evans and Evans Construction did a fantastic job for us and our overall experience was excellent. Gary and his crew have done 3 jobs for us. The first was to convert a metal roof pole barn that was 50’ x 25’ to a workshop and storage area. Then months later, he removed of a very large stone fireplace in the middle of the living room. After that job was done, he constructed a pump house. Gary was very easy to work with and a man of his word. He and his team were prompt, reliable, courteous, knowledgeable, trustworthy and detail oriented. Gary and his team work very, very hard and make sure we are very satisfied with the work. For the barn, he worked well with the subcontractors who poured the slab and installed the roof. They worked in the middle of the summer with little complaint of the heat. For the fireplace job, they were careful with our property and took extensive measures to prevent dust getting all over the house. For the pump house, the structure was very unique. Gary and his crew made the pump house look as if it had always been there. When we compare Gary to other contractors we have used, he is much better by far. In more detail, the work was as follows: 1. A metal roof pole barn 50’ x 25’ was converted to a workshop and storage area. One quarter of the barn was enclosed and 2/3 was on slab. The work that was done was to pour the rest of the slab, framing for the walls, OSB interior walls, exterior sheathing and cement board siding, ceiling, paint exterior, new metal roof, and dig ditch for the electric service. We chose to do the demolition, insulation, interior painting and electrical work ourselves. 2. We wanted to remove a very large stone fireplace in the middle of the living room. As a result the roof and floor needed to be patched. 3. For the pump house, we wanted to move an outside water treatment and softener system to an indoor location. We designed a pump house that was attached to our garage and that matched the rest of our custom contemporary house. A concrete slab, concrete step and shed structure needed to be built from scratch. Also underground water PVC pipes needed to be moved from the old to the new location.
