Super great visits
I moved to Austin about 4 years ago and had seen a dentist maybe twice prior to coming to Forest Family. There was another one I liked at first, but mentioned something about how I'd look better with veneers and then I zoned out for the rest of the appointment and never went back. They never did that to me here. You enter into the office and you're greeted by some of the nicest staff ever. I never sit around in the waiting room, and am seen almost immediately when I arrive. I've been seeing Dr. Hanak for over a year now and he's wonderful and kind and non-judgmental even though he has ever right to be because sometimes I go in to my cleanings without brushing prior. Every hygienist/dentist assistant I've had has always been more than kind and patient with me. They also will let you watch whatever you want on Netflix and usually won't judge you on your choices there too, which is equally as important IMHO.

Love
I hate dentists but Dr. Rick is so great and caring. He called me the night before my surgery and the day after to make sure everything was ok. They are really busy but always ensure care. The only thing is you have to schedule out your teeth cleanings 3 months ahead because of how busy they get. They are also open on Saturdays which is fantastic!

check-up and cleaning
the stuff took the x ray were pushy, I have a small mouth with missing teeth but they were not intreated hearing me, thus I got extra un necessary radiation. The cleaning was done very quickly, The hygienist poked and missed spots. NO over the head light, no magnifying. Some of the time she looked away talking to the trainee while cleaning with sharp tools inside my mouth. They were conversing as if I was not there at all, not paying attention to how I was poked. They also had no sink in the room, no running water and handling the computer back and forth while working on my teeth. Nothing was covered with film as one would expect in a dentist treatment room. The Dr. was very brief, same hygiene problem, going back and forth from computer pad to my mouth. Insisted I need work - crowns which I am not positively understand that I really need them. On my way out, the tech pushed a medicated toothpaste the Dr. recommended, I thought it was a free sample, turned out to be a very expensive toothpaste they added to the bill.. Was very un comfortable through the whole experience and would never go there again.
