Another Excellent Job
I had more than half a dozen odd jobs that had piled up and really needed attention. Engin came right on schedule, went through my entire list in the budgeted amount of time set, and I'm thoroughly satisfied with results, from weather-stripping to lighting fixtures to repairs on my couch and more. I'm impressed by the fact that he's willing to answer my questions and explain what he is doing (and why) every time I ask. So I get a little "education" while he's working. Very much appreciated because I can share with friends and neighbors. I will not hesitate to call in the future as needs arise and it's great to know that this company is always there to help.

Quality of Work was Good / Lots of Red Flags However
When making the appoint the work was quoted to take somewhere between 2-4 hours. Upon supplying a photo of the work, the amount was set for a 3 hour job. Handyman did not call the day before to confirm details. Handyman called 10 minutes past appt time to say he would be there in 5 minutes, which was fine. I was the first appt of the day so traffic was the reason given for the delay. Upon surveying the work I was told he would be gone for an hour to pick up supplies need (1 piece of wood), I was told it would take an hour because Home Depot was so far away. I let him know Home Depot was actually quite close 5-7 minutes away (2 miles). He was gone the full hour to pick up one piece of wood. When I inquired about why it took so long I was told he forgot to measure before leaving my house and had to return to measure. This was troubling because I know he did not return as I had line of site of the area he would have returned to the whole time he was gone. Then he informed me he also had to wait for the supervisor to authorized the charge as he did not have a credit card. He could sense I was underwhelmed by the excused and continued to offer more at which point I asked him to please stop and focus on the job at hand. The work was completed in 2 hrs and 20 minutes from his first arrival to my home, including the 1 hour Home Depot trip. He was getting ready to leave without vacuuming or picking up the area inside the house and I asked him to vacuum up. He said he didn't have a vacuum so he could not. When I went to get my own vacuum he offered to do it after I started the work. Upon leaving I discovered he had also made a mess outside which he was going to leave as is until I asked him to please pick up. The material charge for one piece of wood seemed very high and I was not given a receipt to verify cost. I understand there may be some mark up to cover the expense of getting the wood, however I would have preferred to have gotten/paid for the wood myself if I had been given the option. Ultimately the quality of workmanship was good (not a difficult job however) but I do feel ripped off on the cost. It felt like he was doing everything he could to stretch the job out to valid the 3 hour quote. I realize it's difficult to completely account for the amount of time a job will take but he didn't offer to do any additional work in the remaining time, and given how our dialogue had progressed over the course of the appointment I wasn't interested in having him stay longer. Disappointing as I would have planned to use this service again in the future as the booking was easy and quick to set up.

I am more than happy to give you 30 min credit towards any further service. I will make sure i speak to my craftsman about clean up as this is highly important to me also. please let me know of any future issues so i can make sure you are taken care of immediately. sincerely Gus Ruiz update 11/10/17 - a credit of 30 min was issued to compensate that the craftsman took 30 min less to do the work than the original quote.

Outside Lamp Post Install
Install is complete but the lamp post was not straight upright, and not secure. Disappointed that I was not advised of this issue before making $190 minimum payment and departure of handyman. I was able to straighten with a shim, but it is still not solidly secured.

Highly Professional Workmanship!
I have hired this company 7 times so far, so I'm obviously extremely satisfied. Engin is a very knowledgeable handyman who is also personable and unusually thorough with each project he undertakes. He knows how to get the job done effectively and efficiently and has a wide range of capabilities. He has helped me so much with my brand new home that I feel as if he helped build it! From ripping up laminate flooring, to handling numerous electrical assignments and installations, to finding the perfect handles for cabinet doors and doing touch-up painting, he never once complained about the difficulty of a job or about the number of hours needed to complete it. I am continually impressed by his positive attitude and genuine desire to make me happy with the results of his labors. Best of all, on those rare occasions when there were things that Engin wasn't able to do, he let me know immediately and advised me to contact someone else. In my book, that's a mark of a true professional!
