Homeowner Happy ;) . . . Squirrels, Not :(
A week ago, no longer able to convince myself that the sounds I heard overhead were branches scraping the roof or other random noises, I Googled, "There's a squirrel in my attic." The first call I made was to Humane Wildlife Conflict Resolution LLC. It was my lucky day. I left a message and soon had a return call from the employee who would actually undertake to solve my problem. He clearly explained the procedure he would follow to evict the squirrels (there were, of course, more than one), quoted a very reasonable flat fee that included repair of the entry site, and made an appointment to come evaluate my situation a few days later. Monday arrived, cold and very windy, and so did the man of the hour. He did a thorough check of my roof, thankfully finding no entry points or weak areas other than the obvious one at the sagging soffit, and recommended a solution: application of a metal edging along the soffit edge (after first securing the sagging boards) to seal all openings. He gave me two choices, a solid edging or a basket-type, and advised me of the additional charge for the material chosen (in my case, the solid). We then agreed that he would acquire the necessary supplies and return to do the work later in the week. My situation was not an immediate emergency because, he assured me, baby squirrels would not be arriving on the scene for several more weeks. When the appointed day was predicted to be windy, too, he readily agreed when I called several days ahead to postpone the appointment one more day to the windless day that today turned out to be. This mattered to me because the repair site, above a sloping bank, offered less than ideal circumstances for ladder placement and wind would have made it more perilous than it already was. Safety is my first concern for anyone working on my property, and I was very glad to see that he shared my outlook and amply demonstrated it in the way that he performed the task at hand. He worked efficiently, neatly, carefully and confidently, but never carelessly. Even the surprise exit of a fast-moving squirrel leaping over his shoulder as he cleared debris from the soffit entry point didn't make him flinch. That was quite impressive to me, but he took it all in stride, all in a day's work. He was also very agreeable, cheerful, and a wealth of information about the various ways that clever critters commit home invasion. Since many, if not most, of them live in or visit my neighborhood, I feel reassured by his expert work and equally expert opinion that I will not be welcoming raccoons, bats, or future generations of squirrels into my home anytime soon (work by HWCR comes with a guarantee). However, if any of them should happen to outwit me in the future, I am glad to know that I can call Humane Wildlife Conflict Resolution LLC and the intruders will be served their eviction notices, kindly but firmly. I am a satisfied and grateful customer.

First-Class Company with Tremendous Customer Service
This is a 5-star company - totally knowledgeable, excellent technical work and very reasonable pricing. Late one recent Friday night, we awoke to two bats in our house. We were able to trap them in a bedroom which we sealed off. Early Saturday morning, we called several companies and got no answer or told to wait until Monday. We then called Humane Wildlife Conflict Resolution and told that they would have someone there early Sunday morning. Their employee arrived early and did a comprehensive examination of the house. He quickly identified a colony of bats living behind a broken brick by the fireplace as well as entry points from outside to the attic and from the attic to the living area. (He also recognized that we were terrified of bats and was very reassuring that he could solve our problem.) He explained that bats are protected and cannot be killed and he needed to do an "expulsion" so the bats could escape alive. He then went to work and installed a one-way exit door for the colony and the bedroom. He also sealed off all the potential entry points so no other bats (or critters) could get in to the attic or from the attic to the living area. Four hours later, he told us everything was sealed and he would be back in two weeks to remove the one-way doors. He told us to call him if we had any problems and he would return earlier. We had no problems of any kind and two weeks later he returned to remove the one-way doors. He again examined the property and indicated that there was no evidence of any bats (or other critters). Their employee was a pleasure to work with. The company's quick response was very much appreciated and we felt confident that our problem was resolved. Thank you Humane Wildlife Conflict Resolution for a great job.
