Adam from Innovative Comfort Solutions is great to deal with. He came highly reccomnded by a friend and the first time I called him was in the summer of 2016 becase my AC unit was blowing warm air instead of cold. He answered my call immediately and was polite, friendly and professional. He gave me an eta of when he could come out and arrived when he said he would. He explained to me that my until was over 20 years old (which I did know) and that the government was putting a ban on the type of Freon it used (which I did not know). The way they were trying to get people to change their AC units was to increase the price of the Freon almost weekly so Adam explained that the price I was paying that day for 3 lbs of Freon would probably quadruple by the summer of 2017 (I chjecked all of this information with other people and on the internet and found out it was all true). He reccomended that I replace the unit and that most people also replace the furnace at the same time. Since I also knew that the furnace was also over 20 years old (both units were installed when the house was built in 1994) and had already had issues with it in the past I asked him to write me an estimate for both units. He said he would send me the estimate and list the prices for units in high, middle and low ranges so I could make the best choice for my needs. I received the estimates via email about a week later and added it to my "list of things I have to save money for" and didn't really think about again. The AC unit worked great and since it wasn't cold out and there are always "other projects" to be done around the house I figured I would plan to get the untils replaced the following summer. Unfortunately the "universe" had other ideas. In early January of 2017 we noticed that when the furnace kicked on it was excessively loud which had never happened before but since it was still heating the house I didn't think anything about it. Then one evening a few weeks later I was home and I noticed that it was really cold in the house and I realized that I had not heard the loud furnace noise all evening. I went to the air duct and realized there was no air coming out at all. I asked my son who had been in the basement most of the day had the furnace been coming on and he said he had not heard it for most of the day and that he couldn't remember the last time he had heard it come on. I went down the besaement and tried to see if there was some way I could turn it off and on again to "reset" it to see if that would fix the problem. I couldn't find an on/off switch so I called Adam. He answered immediately and asked me to take a few pictures of the until to send to him. I did this while we were talking and he explained to me how to turn the until off and on but when that didn't do anything he said he would come right over. He arrived within an hour and determined that the motor on the furnace was dead. He said he would order the part and get it fix as soon as it came in and that would get me thru the winter until I could get both units replaced. Over the next several months I had multiple other issues with the furnace and each and every time I called Adam he answered immediately no matter what day of the week or time of day. I ended up having to replace the furnace in March and the AC unit in April but Adam was there for me every step of the way. He is my go to person when it comes to all my HVAC needs because I know he will answer when I call, be there when he says he going to be and that he will charge me a fair and reasonable price. I have already reccomended him to my friends and family and I have nothing but great things to say about him.
