Horrible Customer Service!
The dentist, Dr. Meiser is rude and nasty to his employees and feels he can speak to his patients(customers) the same way. The first time I went he was very rude to his employees and speaking to them as if they were below him. I just thought maybe he was having a very bad day or he was overwhelmed. Wow! Was I WRONG! That is HIM! My first appointment there just like others stated they turn your regular check up into x-rays and additional services that you must get done now. The business manager and receptionist were very nice and friendly. When they pushed my son and I regular check up appointment into getting other services. They sat with him while they did over $300 worth of work I didn't know I needed. I had an appointment at 4:10, I arrived at 3:50. I signed in and was waiting for my turn with my son. This was only suppose to be a follow up just to check to make sure everything was okay. I didn't see the need to not have my son. We were called back to the chair at almost 4:20. No one has said anything to me such as sorry were running behind, we will be right with you; NOTHING. When we first sat down my son was sitting in my lap and we were talking and playing. Then he slid down and looked out the window at the cars passing by. Not moving, not running, not touching anything; just looking out the WINDOW. Now the doctor wants to acknowledge my presence. He says to me your son can't be running around. (Blank stare) He needs to be sitting in the chair. In which I respond to him we are just waiting to be seen no one has said anything to me about starting. He is just looking out the window. Then to make it even worse he says he can not be in your lap during services. If this is going to be a problem you should have gotten a babysitter. (Blank Stare) Then he goes to push me out and tell me this is a place of business and I am being unprofessional. I don't have to be professional at this point I am not rendering a service, I didn't offend my customer, nor was I unprofessional to my customer. He may talk to his employees and wife in such a belittling and nasty manner. However, he will not speak to a paying customer in that manner or tone. I hate to do this to a small business. However, if you have kids or demand and anticipate respect from others. DO NOT GO TO LIGHTHOUSE FAMILY DENTISTRY.
