I am just delighted with the auto painting job Maaco in New Port Richey, Florida did on my 2003 Chevy Cavalier. Although it's an older car, it runs great and I want to keep it. When I discovered rust on the roof, I went to Maaco for an estimate. The price was fair and the finished product was amazing. The staff at Maaco was very professional with friendly courteous service. I told Andrew, the manager, that I was a walking commercial for Maaco and I am.

Don't expect high quality even though paying for it!
A couple of years ago I needed my hood and fender caps repainted because my new pressure cleaner worked too good and damaged my paint. They charged me over $600 for painting my hood and two corners of the bumper and replaced the Chevy emblem. The estimate they gave wasn't any cheaper but they offered 90 days same as cash so I used them for the job. I went to pick it up and there were a ton of bubbles in the paint. I got the manager to look at it and he was embarrassed and told me they had a new guy and said come back tomorrow. I came back and it still was in bad shape. The paint had not flowed evenly and left several runs. The owner got upset with me when I complained but said he would fix it. I came back again and they said they had fixed it but when we looked at it the hood it still had a large area that was totally messed up. When I asked about fixing it and I thought I was going to get beat up by the owner. I now have a dinner plate sized spot (run/swirl) on my hood compliments of New Port Richey Macco! I'd be glad to post pictures if I could... I've only used this one Macco location but I can guarantee I won't use any Macco again. I've since used another body shop in the area for different reasons and they did first class work. Sorry Macco US 19, NPR, Fl. but you are the worst.....the spot is located right in front of the driver so I'm forced to look at it every time I drive it.

Horrible, run away.
The most incompetent, pathetic craftsmanship I have ever seen. Dropped off a 67 vw Beetle with minor damage and a repaint. Waited OVER 2 weeks for my car, when I went to pick up, they had not straightened a damage fender, bondo'd over the buckled steel, and painted over it. Also, painted over 2 small dents that were to be repaired. Sloppy, crap work. Here comes the best part, the second time I come in to get car, looks acceptable, so I sign and pay. I get in the car, someone literally broke the f'ing shifter knob and extension bar off the car! I was so aggravated, I thought I could repair it and just left. The shifter and linkage are so damaged (apparently some moron didn't know vw bugs have a unique shift pattern, and would rather force it than ask) that I now have to replace the shifter linkage, shifter arm, extension and knob. These guys are all about fast, take your money, and get you out of their way. No concern for your vehicle, work quality or service. Run away, go to a real body shop,.

Professional Service and advice re. The refinishing of my 2005 GMC Sierra Truck
I consulted with Andrew Kousaleos the Manager of The Macco location at U.S. HWT 19 in New Port Richey ,FL re. the Painting of my 205 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup truck. He carefully took the time to explain the advantages of the various refinish options available to me from an enamel type to the Base Coat Clear Coat technology Macco uses to produce a finish equal to the factory original . I made the decision to go with the base coat clear coat type at Andrew's recommendation which was quoted at a very fair price. I am very pleased with the results and would recommend this business to anyone wanting to get their vehicle refinished. Thanks Andrew for your help with my questions. Sincerely, Jack V.
