Unprofessional and Inaccurate Filing Claim
1. I scheduled my son's first visit during the pandemic, which I understand is challenging for many businesses. When we arrived no one was at the reception. We arrived on time and we waited 15 minutes until someone came out to greet us. Dr. Grady/staff had forgotten to send me the link to fill out insurance for her system (I had already filled it out elsewhere). I filled it out upon arrival. Dr. Grady saw my son - did a 5-minute exam with no cleaning, only fluoride. Then, took him for X-rays. During that time she was also seeing three other patients. She had someone on staff, but brushed her aside saying she was doing the wrong thing. I'm not sure if she was a new staff member, but it seemed difficult for Dr. Grady to manage all of her patients and she seemed short-staffed. 2. At the end of the visit, I was charged a new patient fee along with some other charges which totaled, I think, around $160. (My first visit to my dentist was free.) I received a bill in the mail later that said I owed close to $300. I found out that Dr. Grady had made a mistake and charged my son's visit in my name. She said she would fix it in the system and re-file the claim, and that I didn't owe anything. Two months later I received another bill for around $200. I called again several times, left messages, and emailed. No one returned my messages. I called again and finally was able to speak to someone on the phone. They said they would take care of it. I'm not sure if they did, but I haven't received another bill-- thankfully! 3. I decided to switch dentists for my son because I didn't feel comfortable with Dr. Grady's service or the handling of my insurance (she was in-network by the way). I called for the past week and a half every day, left messages, tried the texting on the website, and emailed to retrieve my son's record. I received no response. I tried again --when the office is closed (I wasn't aware of this), and finally got through to Dr. Grady. Honestly, I'm not sure how to describe what happened -- other than, she must be under a lot of stress in her personal life. I requested the records and she continuously yelled at me in the phone. I'm baffled by her unprofessionalism. I hope that she is able to shut down her business for a while, rest, take a mental break, and start again with positivity! She seems like she could be a really great person, but I'm not sure if she is currently mentally or emotionally fit to be running her own business right now. The pandemic has been hard for all of us and our families. I wish her the best of luck and I hope that she adheres more to the details of her business and conducts herself in a more professional manner from now-on.

Dr. Grady has been out kids’ dentist for the past 10’years. Extremely knowledgeable and professional!

Office is very pleasant and welcoming. Dr. Grady and her staff are warm, knowledgeable and makebit an overall fun experience! We are very fortunate to have found Open Sesame!
