malpractice and poor customer service
This is the first time I learned that we may get a surprise bill from a regular dental hygiene visit. My husband took my 8-yo girl to have her teeth cleaned. He stayed in the waiting room during the whole process. It was uneventful except that when it was done, the dentist walked my little girl out and told my husband that she used x ray on her. My husband was surprised but did not immediately realize what happened. weeks later, we received a bill of over $100 and wondered what the heck it was. I called the office and was told that the dentist decided to do x ray on her so we should pay for it. I found something went wrong because I knew they should have asked for parental consent before they could do x ray on a minor. So I asked for evidence of parental consent to this x ray. The response was: there was NONE--parents sign a form if they don't give consent, and no form signed automatically means parent consent. I found this logic hilarious, because no form could very well mean they DID NOT EVEN ASK for parent consent, just as in our case. My husband was working on his computer the whole time in the waiting room. If anybody popped up during the process and asked him to give consent to x ray, he would have had remembered it as a distinct event, not to mention he was as clueless as me when we saw the bill wondering why any hygiene visit would incur any expenses. The service staff was quite arrogant, which added insult to injury. The only thing I heard from them was: they have a protocol to ask for parent consent before any x ray on a minor, and they believe they implement their protocol correctly 100% of the time, so there is no room to err on their side. In the event of any dispute, it must be the patient who does not remember correctly. Since the expense was already incurred, patients would have no choice but to pay for it, or it will be sent to a collection place. That's a really good service attitude. So I decided to transfer both of my children out of this place and warn future customers of their malpractice and poor customer service.

Ok experience
It was our second time there, and no one introduced themselves. At the end of the appointment, the dentist moved on and no one made sure we even knew the way out. Hygienist was quick and got through the cleaning before my son lost patience.

First visit and very impressed
Today was the first visit for my 4 year old. We chose this office based on recommendations from family friends. I appreciate how the dentist was able to create a treatment plan that was realistic and cost effective. She gave lots of options. A previous dentist told us we would need to put our son under general anesthesia for dental work, but today we were given other options and the general anesthesia as a last resort.
