Best atmosphere for Children They love it!
My daughter has gone her 3 times now and loves it. She gets a prize at the end and never leaves my side but she does when she comes here. Not to mention because f this place she loves going to the dentist. I used to take y older daughter here as well who had a fear of the dentist. I took her to 3 other dentist without them seeing her because of her tantrums and we could not calm her down to even go back into the office. I then heard about this place and she finally got to see the dentist for the first time at age 5. She now has no fear of dentist at age 15 and we can now take her to a local dentist because Pediatric Dentist helped her et over her fears. I would recommend this place for all children needing a great atmosphere for dental care.

My children loved their first visit
This was my 3 year olds first dentist visit. My 10 year old son had a different dentist years prior. We were looking for a change and heard great reviews about this office. The staff was very nice, everyone smiling. Everytingn was wonderful, my children loved their visit and can not wait to go back! The only thing I wish had went differently was... being the first visit, I don’t feel that things were explained much prior to taking the children back. A cleaning and X-rays were mentioned as to what would be done but not much else. I wish someone would have told me things such as when I would talk to dentist, what all the staff and kids would do at the appointment, etc. (found out from my son afterwards that the kids rinsed with a red mouth rinse then showed staff how they brushed their teeth which was great)I was directed to a parent waiting room and that was when I separated from my kids. I heard from other parents that there was a room that parents could go to and observe their children during their appointment. While in the parent waiting room, I saw a staff member and asked about observing the kids especially being a first appointment. They had apologized that no one offered that and said the kids were almost done anyway but they did take me back to a nice room to observe the kids at the end of their cleaning. I really enjoyed that. The dental hygienist then came to talk with me and explained more of things that would happen/happened. During a cleaning, siblings are sat further part but once the dr comes to see them, they can then sit by each other. It was so nice that my children weren’t separated during their appointment) Dr Matt was very personable and very nice. Honestly, despite not knowing much in the beginning as to what the kids would do as part of their first appointment and not being offered to observe their first appointment, I could not imagine how our appointment could have gone any better. It was wonderful. They also had such a cool and unique prize system. Staff, facility, and doctor were exceptional. It’s so important a child to start with a good impression, and my kids got a terrific one! Thank you the Dr Matt and his staff

Kid friendly
Both of my daughters had their 6-month check-up. They both told me this was a fun dentist visit. The staff and the dentist made their visit a nice experience.

Very professional!
My 4 year old daughter had her first visit the other which she was extremely scared to go to. Not only did the fun stuff in the waiting room eased her, but she had nothing but nice and wonderful things to say about the girls that took care of her in the back. I was really impressed that you then get to speak directly with the dentist after your child’s teeth are clean. Needless to say, my daughter is super excited to return to PDC in the future!

Bad experience
I arrived for the 12:45 appointment for my two children. When the kids were taken for their check-ups I was asked if it was okay to give them x-rays this visit. I gave my approval. I then waited over 90 minutes in the adult waiting lounge. When the kids were finally delivered I was handed a yellow paper with their scores and given a review of their service. On my daughters paper it said she had received x-rays. She did not. Their cleaning and flouride application took about 15 minutes and they were then told to sit in the one room and wait. After over an hour of waiting they were then brought to me. Many other parents came and left with their children after our arrival. It was after 3:00 when we finally left the building. It was then too late to return the kids to school. After I finally made it back to my office I called Pediatric Dentistry to ask about the x-rays. I was told my son did not receive x-rays but that my daughter did. I informed the person on the phone that my daughter did NOT receive x-rays and they better not be on the bill. I feel that I must now follow-up when the bill arrives so that the insurance is not falsely charged for x-rays that were never take. I can only assume that my kids were forgotten as they sat there for well over an hour for no reason. The kids have been going here for over three years, and there was not a problem before this visit. I recommend that if you tell the parents that you have taken x-rays, be sure that this was done.
