Dr. Lim is extremely nice and professional but I'm going to be a minority here. I gave this office two stars because it's extremely important to have confidence in your dental provider and I've lost the confidence I had for PDE. I've been charged 100% more than the amount I was quoted for. I know. The payment responsibility falls on the insurance holder. But how about some lee way here? As far as I'm aware, they don't give you an option for monthly payments so in my case - I will have to find a way to come up with (another) 850$ on the spot because the "estimate" I was provided with was off. To add on top of this, 2 years after I had my first crown done in 2016 I recently discovered that there's cavity in the middle of the tooth under it. Decay under a crown is not uncommon but it usually starts from the sides, as I was told by a different dentist. With decay in the middle it's possible that the tooth wasn't cleaned from the old decay before the crown was placed. I don't know if it's true, but if I'm about to pay 1K for a crown, I'd like to have a bit more than 2 years with it. To be fair, the office if clean, new and feels great. I never had painful procedures there and if I would be richer I'd probably not even bother with this review.

Quick Diagnosis and Excellent Customer Service
I was experiencing pain in a molar with a crown and they were able to see me at 2 pm the day I phoned. The problem was quickly diagnosed within a few minutes as an abscess. They then phoned on my behalf and were able to secure a 3 pm appointment that same day for me at a specialist for a root canal. The level of customer service provided was phenomenal.

A client for decades
I used this office for decades back when Richard Svedeman was its owner and the current DDSes are as good if not better. He was my 2nd Bay Area dentist, and I got that referral from his neighboring orthodonist (Don Hull who did outstanding work before he retired). I have network referrals in the 1980s on the condition of 1-1 messages (email) and No broadcast. I would not want to hurt office quality. I've watched the dental technology change and keep up with the times. It's been excellent. And they good referrals for specialist dental areas, but will challenge them if they think they can do better work. Yes, the price of work goes up, but I think their value for their work goes up.
