What a disaster !
We were scheduled to have our roof replaced on August 10, 2017. On that morning I'm returning from the grocery to discover that one of your roofing crew was tearing the roof off of my neighbors house next door, not the roof on my house but the roof of the house next door to me !!!!! can you believe it, no joke they were on the wrong roof, they had already torn off half of his roof. I stop my car in the middle of the street, get out and yell at them to STOP ! YOUR ON THE WRONG HOUSE ! Well,I get them stopped, tell them they are at the wrong house. And of course there is a language problem. I call Cyan Roth, tell him what is happening. I then have to call my neighbor (who is at work) and have to tell him what has happened (man ! that was not fun). So I'm now I have to play peace maker (my neighbor can be a hot head at times, to put it mildly) I insist that Rembrandt roofing continue to remove the remaining roof shingles from my neighbors roof and get him a new roof on his house that day. I had to give up my scheduled day (a day with no threat of rain) for your mistake. When Mr. Roth arrived he did tell me that Rembrandt would make things right and get my neighbor a new roof on that day hell or high water plus he would get a second crew out here to start on my house (well, that never developed). I got pushed aside to make room for your roofing crews mistake. Now, to your company's credit you did "start" the tear off of my roof yet that afternoon, but it was not finished until the following day. I was not pleased with some of the clean up, my metal patio cover was full of roofing debris, blown off of my roof by their leaf blower and potentially clogging my patio covers gutter system. I had to get up there and clean it off with a shop vac, why should I have to clean up after your guys. Then to top it off Mr. Roth made a mistake when he was doing the initial inspection of my old roof shingles (we had Sherriff-Goslin shingles) he some how failed to see that there was another layer of three tab shingles under them. Now you guys want me to pay an additional $700.00 for that, his inspection mistake, not mine. I'm not pleased with the work order process either, when I paid the 50% down payment, I did not get any type of receipt, when I paid the balance, I did not get any type of receipt. When I was told that I owed an additional $700.00 I did not get a new revised work order stating that fact. This is all very, very sloppy. I need and I want a correct work order copy that states the two payments, with the dates paid and the check numbers used for my records in case I have any type of warranty issues in the future (wouldn't you ?). My neighbor got better treated better than I did and I'm the one who chose your company to do my roof, what is wrong with this picture. Yes, he got a free roof and he should have, I'm not disputing that, but I'm the one who got inconvenienced, I'm the one who had to then wait his turn to get his roof done. I know this was a one in a million error, but it still could have been handled better (in regard to my house). I would only recommend your company with reservations. Do I believe that this review will be posted for others to see, no, no I don't.
