South Placer Heating & Air

There was a problem with the heating unit. I called a claim in and it was going to be several days before a tech would be sent out. I called direct to another very competent vendor and they came out the next day. I paid them $150.00 for the service call. They diagnosed the problem as a bad electronic control unit. They suggested changing the electronic control unit and the wiring harness. They stated it was a very common problem. When they found out I had a warranty they suggested that I go through the warranty because the unit would run around $600.00. I let Your vendor proceed and they had an appointment 3 days later with a window of 12 to 6pm. I was at the property from 12 to 6:30pm and they did not show. I called the company and they were closed and did not answer their phones. I went home, at 7:45 my daughter called, who is living in the house, and said someone was banging on the front door and when they answered it it was the tech from South Placer hvac. They sent him away because they were getting my grandson ready for bed and it would interrupt their household too much. They wouldn't reschedule the next day , I had to wait and reapply as if it was a brand new appointment. It took several days before they came out again. When they came out it was not at the prescribed time, they just showed up again. The tech was they for 15 minutes, tightened a connection and said that the problem was fixed. The heating unit worked for several days then the problem started reacurring. The heater would work for a while and then start blowing cold air. I called to have another tech come out. He showed up today on time but he said there was nothing wrong with the unit. He was there for maybe 25 minutes before he wanted to leave without correcting any problem. Just looked at the unit. I called the tech that I had paid for out of my pocket and he described the problem to Your tech and Your tech refused to listen and restated that there was no problem with the unit. When my kids go to bed at night they turn on the unit at around 68 degrees and when they get up in the morning the unit is on blowing cold air and the temperature in the house is around 53 degrees. I stopped the tech from leaving and I called South Placer HVAC and while I was talking to a supervisor the tech got in his truck and left without notice. So now the heating unit has not worked for three weeks and basically the case is closed and South Placer HVAC and their tech just packed up and left. It looks like the only way I will get this fixed is to find someone who is competent to come out and put in the Electronic Control Board and the wiring harness which South Placer HVAC knew about three weeks ago and pay for it out of my own pocket. American Home Shield and South Placer HVAC seem to scam their clients and provide enough frustration to drive them to do their repairs on their own. I checked South Placer HVAC on Yelp and they had a 2 rating and had an F rating from Better Business Bureau. I will send paperwork in tomorrow to the Contractors Board tomorrow and put in a claim against South Placer HVAC's bond and general liability policy.

F Rating is too high for these buffoons
How they run a business is beyond me. One month and still no air. Excuse after excuse. Thanks American Home Warranty you really picked losers.

BEWARE, "F" RATING WITH BBB
I had to use because of my home warranty, American Home Shield. They tore my air conditioner apart over a week ago and have not been back. Different excuses on different days! They say they will be out "tomorrow" but tomorrow never comes! They have horrible customer service, the supervisor, Venetta, never calls back, the only way I get any information is through home warranty company. AHS customers, tell AHS to dump this company!
