Excellent service/above and beyond
I purchased my home in Juniper Canyon, Prineville in 2006. This purchase was not through The Associates. I have bought 5 homes and sold 4. I felt like their last priority and wished I hadn't signed with these other companies. Some in Prineville and Bend. *****I never received such great service from any company or realtor until I asked Bob Layne with The Associates, to help me sell my home. The market had dropped in 2008. Mr. Layne never gave up. He kept me informed through the years, with honesty and integrity. I closed my home 9-26-16. I have been living in Chicago since 2008. He took care of everything. I had no worries and total trust in him. I've suggested his services to others. I cannot thank him enough!! Thank you Bob!

Diligent, professional work
Bob Layne did an exceptional job on a bare land transaction that needed some extra work and dilligence to get to closing! Thanks Bob!

No communication and felt like I was taken advantage of because I live out of the area
This is my very first time writing a review, but felt that it was important. I just closed escrow on my Dads estate in Powell Butte OR using Robert Lane from The Associates Real Estate. I found his profile on I did not live in the area and he came with good reviews so I thought he would be great. He was a very nice man and easy to talk to, but when it came down to getting my dads place sold, that was different story. I had to do a lot of research on my own, every time he needed something signed I would just get a Docusign in my email without any explanation to what I was signing. I was just supposed to trust him. Well this was a lot of money and I felt bad telling him I don't want to just sign something without knowing what it was...I did a lot of reading of fine print and found many errors. I felt very uneasy and taken advantage of. He would send me market analysis on what the property was worth and in the same breath tell me it was worth far less because it was not lived in at the time. I later found out that was not true.We ended up selling the property for far below then the appraised value by his direction, paying all closing costs and other fees and low and behold it was to the people I told him I didn't want to do business with, and on the last day of Roberts contract. I don't feel like we got $21,000.00 worth of service from him. Might have gotten better service had I lived in the area and worked with him face to face?

Great Customer Service
Bob Layne. To Explain.. We were looking to relocate to be closer to the grandkids. My daughter asked for realtor names and Bobs name came up twice. And he lived and worked in the city where we were looking for a home. We live three hours away and Bob was available to show us a few places, on a moments notice. He handled everything...and I do mean everything. He went up and above finalizing the sale and getting everything working for my husband and I. If asked, I would recommend The Associates and Bob Layne.
