Relief from chronic back pain; change of eating habits & weight loss for life
I have been going to F.W.C. for about 4 years now for chiropractic and they have worked wonders for me. I had chronic lower back pain on my left side and upper right back pain and since going, both have improved tremendously to the point where many days I am pain free. If the pain does return again, it is usually mild and does not linger for weeks & weeks. Before I came here, I had chronic pain, to the point of having difficulty walking at times and had to get cortisone shots periodically. My improvement has been tremendous. In 2014, I got Thyroid cancer which came back again after my thyroid was removed. Dr. Berlin kept urging me to try the Nutrition Program to help me to clear my body of any toxins I had internally in my fight, and I'm so grateful that he did. As it turned out, the cancer came back several times after my thyroid was removed and I had a total of 3 surgeries plus radiation for 7 weeks, 5 days/week. This was a very atypical cancer which I am still fighting, so I needed all the benefits I could provide my body. Not only have I become healthier, but I also lost 45 lbs. in the process, which I have kept off for almost 2 years now. But I could not have done this without the support of Dr. Berlin and his staff, and the excellent nutrition program he uses which truly changes your eating habits for life. And I had some bad habits to change and still cannot believe I did it! I highly recommend F.W.C. to everyone seeking chiropractic care and nutrition program guidance. You will not find better approaches to healing these issues anywhere.

Exceeded my expectations
I have initially started seeing Br. Berlin, in June 2016 for chiropractic treatments and about a month later I also decided to start weight loss program, Long Island Club Reduce, affiliated with the same office in Plainview. Although treatments were expensive, for me the benefit I received from about three months of chiropractic care were innumerable. For myself as well as for my 11 year old son. I initially went to have my severe low back pain treated. I was in horrible state with degenerative disc disease; I woke up in pain and went to sleep in pain. I refused to take medications because of their addictive side effects and back surgery was out of the question. After only 2 visits with Dr. Berlin my entire attitude changed. I don’t know what he did or how, and my pain was still there full force, except somehow I could not care less that my back hurt. I actually laughed through most of my days between visits, my mood lifted and my outlook took a 180 degree turn. I think the first treatments actually freed some sort of an emotional knot in me that prevented healing. I cannot explain it better than that, because although I understand it on an intuitive level, I cannot express it in words. I guess you have to go through the experience of drastic improvement, after having given up all hope, to understand what I mean. My son was also treated by Dr. Berlin for a period of three months. It is not that he had a physical problem, but I decided that since I had to travel to Plainview for me anyway, he might as well be treated at the same time because I would always have to bring him with me. So three months later his character changed. His outlook was more peaceful, he was not as sensitive as before to occasional teasing from other kids, he began to take things as they come and in stride rather than “fighting against the tide”. So eventually, in about three months, my pain had subsided and, I am happy to say, did not come back since. I an MRI done, of my lower back, in December 2016, and although it still shows disc damage, somehow it does not hurt, for which I am grateful. Now, about the more important, for me, accomplishment facilitated by this office… Since July 2016 until today, January 2017 I have lost a total of 40 lbs. My son had lost 14 lbs. and is now one of the very few kids in his class who are not overweight. Along with losing the weight, my new eating habits, with supplements I received actually fixed my failing digestive system (I am a colon cancer “conqueror”) My BMI is normal, my blood pressure is almost normal, without medication, I started going to the gym on regular basis…and along with my body, my emotional outlook improved and with that several minor issues I had going before the weight loss have also disappeared. I am grateful to Dr. Berlin, and the other doctor (I don’t recall his name) in the same practice for literally giving me my life back. God Bless…

Fell through the cracks
I experienced the Club Reduce program during a period of many staff transitions. In the beginning I felt supported with nutrition, and I made progress toward my goal. I felt that with the assessment, Dr. understood my challenges. However there was no support for plateauing in terms of dietary adjustment, only to buy the meditative therapy device (which I forget the name of- I just remember it was more money). The website was never fully operative while I was on the program, not sure what I was paying for for the maintenance program. I could never reach anyone when I called regarding scheduling. there was an occasion where someone called staring I hadn't been in when I had a day or two before. I ultimately stopped checking in, no longer wanting to be patient with the disorganization I experienced. Now I'm still at a plateau and continuing to pay for those short lived results, as I elected for a payment plan, which was nice that it could be done but this probably won't be "the last weight loss program" I'll do, despite making healthy dietary choices. My challenges remain the same as when I started. Hopefully for others there is more continuity/consistency
