RUN AWAY! FAST! AS FAST AS YOU CAN!
If I could choose negative stars, I would. Run! Run as fast as you can. DON'T SIGN ANYTHING!! We are well over 3 months into a bathroom/bedroom repair and nada, zilch, nothing. If I actually try to hire someone to do the 2-3 days of work so I can take a shower, United demands a 30% breach of contract payout. Of course, THEY have no obligations to you, the paying customer. There is absolutely no timeframe for work completion. They have you by the $%#%, and they know it They don't call you back. I have yet to receive a return phone call from the manager/supervisor after multiple calls to them. The job foreman, if he calls back, continuously tells you that they are in close contact with the insurance company, trying to ensure the best and most coverage and that's why there's a delay. Yet, they REFUSE to provide documentation of any contact with the insurance company over the past THREE MONTHS, to corroborate all of their hard work. The insurance company, on the other hand, indicates that they have only been contacted one time in three months, which I find very easy to believe. Basically, signing their contract indicates they can do whatever they want, whenever they want, however they want. Which, in the way of actual work, is pretty much nothing. Now, I will say, the speed at which they have offered to come pick up my $1000 deductible check, BEFORE doing any work, is with such speed, it is mind-boggling. United Reconstruction Group is disgraceful. I feel sorry for any unsuspecting homeowner who has had the unfortunate opportunity to experience their horrific and sorely lacking work ethic, their abhorrent treatment of customers, and their thievery. In a nutshell, they suck. A lot. ADDENDUM: After ONE YEAR, the work is done. Is it done well? No, it's terrible. Did I sign off on it? Yes, they already re-did it one time. I refuse to have them set foot in my home again. Ever. The check from the insurance company expired after 6 months, so a 2nd check was issued. Now they are HOUNDING me and giving me 7-day timelines to meet up with them to endorse the check. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
