Kevin and his crew addressed a long-standing issue that we had with water entering the crawlspace. The project lasted a week. I was very pleased with the result. It looks like the water problem is corrected. Additionally, even though the work involved working close to the house and in back of our substantial foundation plantings, there was little damage to the plants. I am very pleased with the result. This is an excellent company.

Our house is dry!
Rain water was collecting and running by the sides and back of the house during heavy rains. The water was coming from our roof downspouts, and from the uphill side of our front yard. In addition we needed to collect and dispose of the water such that it spared the downhill neighbors behind us. Plus we had a high-spot in the driveway that was scraping car bottoms, and needed to be lowered. The owner Kevin Harrington reviewed our needs in person and made suggestions, then put together a more-than-competitive proposal. His crew (Chris the foreman, Lee, Mitchell, and Jim the mason) arrived on time and did excellent work even with NC summer heat. They hand dug trenches for the high grade PVC pipe to lead the water collected from the front and sides of the house to the swale at the back yard property line. A French drain (covered with 3" rock) with a buried multi-armed PVC pipe collection system was installed. A trench drain was dug and installed along the edge of the driveway, and connected to another PVC line leading to the swale in the back. A concrete walk onto which a downspout emptied was cut to install a buried PVC drainage pipe and connector to the downspout, and then mortared pavers were used to even out the walk. A 4'x12' high section of concrete driveway was removed, the subsurface was lowered/leveled, and brick pavers were installed. All buried utility lines were appropriately marked and avoided. All crew members were cheerful, neat, cleaned the site every night, and were timely. The work was completed on time. The communication with the foreman and owner was ongoing and excellent. When an unforeseen complication arose (the concrete in the driveway ended up being more than 12" deep rather than the usual 4"), we amicably and quickly came to an agreement about how to allocate the additional cost. And when the first try at laying pavers didn't meet the foreman's specifications, he had it ripped out and reinstalled at no additional charge without even asking me. We've had a heavy rain since installation was completed, and it works just as expected!

Problem solved at last!
Although our house had been waterproofed, we started having problems with water coming into our basement den several years ago. My husband did a lot of water vacuuming! So, we had more waterproofing done. Same outcome. Finally, I found Kevin's information online and got in touch with him. He assessed that the problem was on the side of our house, which had never been waterproofed, and also that part of the front needed further work done. He and his crew did a wonderful job and did not destroy the landscaping we had had done on the front of the house. I used to worry and fret every time it rained more than just a sprinkle. I would stand at the front door and watch the rain and see if the puddle covered more than the first block of the sidewalk. Because if it did, that meant we were getting water in the den. Now, I don't even look, because the water doesn't build up at all! My husband and I can't thank Kevin and his crew enough for the work they did. We recommend him to anyone with a similar problem.

Kevin and his crew did an excellent job replacing and improving an old drainage system at my house in Raleigh. He and the guys were pleasant and easy to work with. They left the place clean and the price was fair. Exactly what I expected, in fact. Recommended.
