AVOID THIS DENTAL PRACTICE!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!!! I visited in Dec 2016 for the initial checkup and was told I needed a deep cleaning, a possible root canal or crown (depending on condition of tooth interior once work started) and a filling for a front tooth - the total for the work was $3500, not including that last filling which is covered by my HMO insurance. I thought the price quoted was a little high so I called other dentists in my area and within 3 calls I had quotes ranging from 15-25% less than WCD. I got the deep cleaning and the root canal (the tooth was too far gone so I had to have it removed - an option NOT mentioned or discussed at WCD) done for $800. I go back today to get a regular cleaning done (I confirmed that this was covered by my HMO insurance) and the front-tooth filling. My appointment was for 10am but I wasn't seen until 11:10. After a 6 minute consultation with the dentist, I was told that the treatment I need isn't covered by insurance but costs $100 and that I don't need a filling (which begs the question was the first dentist in Dec incompetent and/or trying to upsell a filling or is today's dentist negligent?). I said no thanks to the charge because WCD is pretty outrageous with their prices and if I have to pay, I certainly don't want my custom to go to these people. The person who came to discuss the charges saw that I was upset but instead of trying to find out why, said "I don't understand why you're upset" (see how subtly she makes my issues a personal affront to her) which, truth be told, made me more upset. During the check-in process, I was given a verbal interview and signed stuff electronically. I requested a copy of the documents I signed, which is within my rights. The person at the front desk said that she had to check with her supervisor and that it would most likely be printed. As I'm leaving, I asked for these docs only to be told by the manager, who was sitting at the front desk, that it was all electronically held so she would email it to me within 5 minutes. I give her my email address and late this afternoon still haven't received it. I call in the office and speak to the manager who says that I didn't sign a release doc - a convenient way to dodge sending these docs out (I wonder what they're hiding). Given my own experience with these people, I highly recommend you AVOID this dental practice - you will get better and more affordable care almost anywhere else. You certainly will get better customer service from a street cart vendor than you would here!
