Very professional
I have been a customer of Willies for over 18yrs.I have 4 dogs and what a blessing he has been. His prices are fair and he truly cares about his customers and the pickup service is a lifesaver. Willies is a one stop shop. I can get the veterinarian care needed, the dogs groomed and even boarding when we go out of town.Besides that the dogs love him. Happy to be a customer.

First time ever at Willie's on Normandie was last year for my dog Luna. It was all fine until halfway after starting our drive home after pick up I realized her toe nail was bleeding enough to leave blood markings on the car doors where she was leaning on and in the back and seat. I pulled into a donut shop parking lot and called Willie's to see what they recommended I do, but they didn't answer. I got home and tried calling again after parking, and my call was picked up, then I drove back with Luna. They said it was because she has black toe nails (I get that that makes it more likely to have an accident but doesn't explain why it wasn't attended to). No apology. I left afraid to return but did approximately 4 more times to take Luna or my other dog Sunny. Sunny just returned home from her grooming today after we dropped her off yesterday. Willie's failed to take responsibility for failing to have proper procedures when a call they make to a client is missed (You'd think they have no experience missing a call themselves). I waited and waited for a call and kept checking my voicemail. Nothing, until I went in person to see if she was almost ready, and found the door locked and was told over the phone they are closed and she would have to stay overnight. They kept my dog overnight without client request then still had the audacity to charge for overnight boarding despite that it was a service that resulted from their own mistake. Defensive employees/owners: "Well did you want us to take her to your home?" after clearly not listening to what I was saying, aside that this was a very unprofessional response. It's hard to own up to your mistakes even when nobody is being so unprofessional toward your business as your business was towards us hm, Willie's? It's disappointing because I really wanted to be able to support a small business like Willie's, but like I told them...it is still unbelievable to me, as someone who avoids conflict and speaking more than I need to whenever possible, to have had this happen.

I was recommended this groomer by the South LA Shelter and was very disappointed. Apparently there have been several complaints to the shelter about how they handle and groom the dogs. My dog came more scared from the groomer than when we brought him home fro the shelter. he came home with cuts on his arms and his head. He now seems traumatized and cries when he's picked up or carried. This groomer was out last resort due to pecto being full till next year and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Nice staff, great haircuts. Don't wait too long to get your dog groomed, go see them.
