Would be Better
My 13 and 11 years old daughters trained here for a few months and were very disappointed. They have 5 years experience with another karate school and started here when we moved. This school does not offer quality training and is a disgrace, in my option, to the tradition of karate! My girls live and breath for training and this school let them down in every way possible. Master Casta hardly teaches but rather, delegates teaching to students that have no skill to do so. The black belts that come out of this school are a perfect example of why my girls won't continue to train here. If you want to pay a fortune for a black belt and not have to earn it, this is the school for you! After seeing a tournament hosted by this school, we decided to train somewhere else. Tournament was simply a money making opportunity and offered no real competing. This school then charged me 7 weeks worth of tuition ($300) for cancelling. Considering the poor level of training offered here, I was quite disgusted with Master Casta and his wife charging me for 7 weeks that my girls were not training here. Now, my girls have to wait a month to start training at the new school all so the Castas can line their pockets. I tried numerous times to talk with them and they won't return my calls. This school doesn't value tradition, good training or dedicated students, but rather is out to make money! This is not a karate school, but rather a really expensive daycare.

Would be Better as a Daycare
In weapons class Master Casta would have the class meditate for 20 minutes while he goes in the back room every so often. In sparring class, no kicking to the head was allowed, techniques that wouldn't be very beneficial were taught, and very little sparring was actually done. In regular class Master Casta would have the class do techniques that were not even part of the curriculum needed to achieve the next belt rank. I didn't even learn my first 4 out 5 forms from Master Casta. And worst of all is that when I quit after tournament was over, we were charged $150 because we didn't quit at the beginning of the month. Then they turned around and charged us another $150 for the next month of classes we didn't even go to. We couldn't get in contact even after multiple phone calls. Master Casta's didn't promote discipline and respect because many students were playing with their belt, dropping their weapons, and Master Casta did not promote good behavior by not giving push-ups or giving a talk about discipline and respect.

Best place for Tae Kwon Do! My daughter loves it here. She has been doing Tae Kwon Do with Master Costa and Master Smith for over 2 years now. Has tought her great self control, confidence and to always help others. I have her enrolled in the after school care and it is very professional and family friendly. I would not recommend any place but here!

Martial Arts with a side of personal growth, wisdom in a family atmosphere
A few years ago, I was looking for a summer program for my 7 year old. She loves arts and I wanted to her to have a program of enrichment that will keep her creativity flowing. If a friend had not suggestions World Martial Arts Academy, I may not have ever realized how much this program exceed expectations. During the summer, my child was able to earn the first promotion belt (yellow), all the while having fun with daily activities. My child continued on with this program after school and has now achieved red belt. Children get their home work done, and they learn honor and respect. Children learn to work together and have conversations and are mastering martial arts.
