Follow up customer service
Two years ago we had a bath fitter tub and surround installed. Love it! Easy care and maintenance. The silicone caulk they manufacture is good until it's not. It managed to resist any mold for over a year but now has lots of black mold even when using vinegar and finally a VERY diluted bleach water on a q-tip. Mold still hanging around. My desire is to replace the caulk with more of the same so I called the company and was told by the receptionist that it would cost me $125.00 for a service call to replace the silicone caulk. I told her I know how to caulk, I was just looking to purchase the caulk from them since it held well the first time. She responded that they will not sell the caulk, it is only for Bath Fitter customers to which I told her "I am a Bath Fitter customer"! She just repeated herself again at which time I said "Wow, you guys sure don't make it easy for former customers to remain satisfied." To her credit, she did tell me I could purchase a tool from Home Depot to remove the caulk but couldn't tell me the name of the tool. I still love the tub and surround, just wish there had been better follow up customer care.

Very happy with my Bath Fitter experience, would recommend this company to my best friend or family member. The finished product is excellent and workmanship superior. Some people might think there alittle pricey but I've always felt you get what you pay for. So my wife and I are very happy with our new bathroom.
