I have dealt with a number of contractors and all have done rushed jobs. So, I was especially nervous prior to completion. John and Bay Area DKI worked around my schedule, actually got done ON TIME, and did an A+ job quality-wise. I can't speak for other project organizers, but John is super professional, super friendly, and made sure that everything was done as promised. These guys are legit. Don't hesitate.

I would highly recommend Bay Area DKI. I live in Pittsburgh, PA and in October 2016, there was vandalism that caused significant damage to my house in Holiday, FL. The property was unlivable due to tear gas damage and other biohazards. My insurance company recommended DKI and I was able to work closely with their project manager to address all of my concerns. Their recovery team initially secured the property and began the tear gas mitigation and cleanup and also secured all broken windows. During this time the DKI estimator was working with my insurance adjuster to prepare the claim and develop a scope of work. When the recovery was complete the project was handed off to the reconstruction team. Again, I worked closely with their estimator and project manager to develop a final scope of work that fit within the insurance claim budget. All of the reconstruction work was done in a professional manner and met building codes. Because I lived remotely from the project and unable to travel, I was concerned that I wouldn't know what was going on and that it would be difficult to manage and pick out materials for the job. All managers involved communicated with me regularly and nothing was done without my final approval. They sent me selections for carpet and I was able to select paints, appliances and other materials at local stores which they then purchased locally. This was a 6 month project which included delays for insurance claim approvals and payment and lead times for cabinets, appliances, etc. I would have to say that when I first saw pictures of the damage to walls, floors, kitchen and windows, I couldn't imagine that the house would ever be livable again. But today, now after inspecting the finished project, I can say that the house looks better that it ever did. The DKI team of Andreas, Patrick, and John took pride in their work, handled the entire project very professionally and helped preserve my sanity.

Unless you are remodeling no one ever thinks about home restoration until the one morning you get up to a water flooded house! We chose DKI after speaking to other restoration companies. From the first call of "Hello, I need help!" To the final handshake all went pretty well as far as restoration goes and as all know in construction there is always a snafu at some time. Jeff our project manager always kept us informed if the workers would be a little delayed. The people who did the work were very professional and did an excellent job. I definitely recommend DKI. We had a pipe break early Sunday morning which flooded our entire home. Once we made contact with DKI they were on site within two hours and efficiently began drying us out and protecting the rest of the assets. Dan and his team were so kind to us and explained everything in detail as they managed the process. As we had never had water damage before we weren't even sure of what questions to ask but it was all laid out. we had grandchildren with us and they were always cognizant of theirs and our safety. DKI made a horrible experience much less traumatic just by the way everything was handled. Huge thanks to DKI!
