My 1966 mustang was having a number of minor issues and one major, the team at Cottman did a great job, and the one major issue turned out to be a minor one. They did the job, fixed some items left wrong by a previous shop, work came in under estimate and they took good care of my car. They are a busy shop and I would recommend them.

Was recommended by my regular, very trusted auto mechanic, felt like I got the VIP treatment from the manager who went out of his way to explain everything to me and gave me confidence in their shop. The manager Rick did everything he could to give me the best price he could. Transmission rebuilt very quickly! Upon picking it up my AC wasn't working, which normally shouldn't be affected by transmission job, but they provided THE BEST customer service and didn't even question it, they kept my truck, replaced condenser and fixed my AC back to working order - NO charge! That's a shop that stands by their work and aims to make customer service a priority! Definitely recommend!!

Recently, I was driving from my home town in NC back to Orlando, FL where I now live. My engine light came on and my car started acting funny while heading South on I-77. Concerned, I called my husband, and he said it sounded like a transmission problem. After googling, he suggested that I immediately take it to the Cottman's in Cornelius as I was very near this exit. The shop was easy to find. After expressing my dilemma to the manager named Rick, before I knew it, my car was being assessed in the shop area! Thankfully, it was just a sensor, and they had me back on the road in no time. I made it safely to my home in Orlando without any further problems. I highly recommend this place. Rob, the manager, gave the best service I have ever received at an automotive repair facility. He went above and beyond to help me understand the repairs that needed to be completed, and even took extra time to explain the charges associated with the required repairs. Having your vehicle break down can be such a stressful situation, especially since I knew so little about engine mechanics or the warranty that covered my vehicle. Rob was both patient and sympathetic towards my situation, and managed to turn a very stressful event into one that gave me confidence and trust in his ability and willingness to do everything he could to minimize the stress and collaborate on resolving the problem. I've gone to many repair shops in the past and have often left feeling worse than when I first entered the building, and would often find myself wondering if all the necessary repairs were addressed and that they were correctly done. My experience at Cottman Transmission was the complete opposite of any type of customer service I received at a repair shop. I left feeling confident that I was in good hands and that I was so lucky that I came to this particular location. Rob assured me that if anything went wrong or if I had any additional questions or concerns to not hesitate to contact him. Now, that's what I call establishing customer confidence and what a great example of follow up he provided. Since I've left his shop, he has called and asked me if everything with my vehicle was running as it should. Again, never ever had a shop ever do that. I've recommended Cottman Transmission to all my friends and shared with them my experience at Rob's location. With that level of service and gratitude, Rob made me feel like a customer whose business was both valuable and appreciated. I was recommended here for a transmission fix. Told it would be a transmission replacement. Cottman worked me in even though I did not have an appointment. After troubleshooting, I was told that it was not my transmission that it was my computer and that he had already reset it on the test drive!! My car drives like a dream!! I would recommend Cottman to the world!! It's hard to find a place that won't take advantage of you these days. Thanks Cottman!!
