I hired Senior Helpers for in-home personal care for my sister. She is in chronic pain and has become unable to drive or do household tasks. I live out of state so it was important to hire a company that I could contact easily. I noticed Senior Helpers’ sincerity and flexibility from the start. They willingly worked with my sister’s schedule and doctors’ appointments which, at the time, was being changed regularly with very short notice. Finding a good match was not an easy process and Sr. Helpers was sensitive to our situation with no family in the area to assist. It took several attempts but we now have a great match. There are bound to be rough spots and when we do experience one, Senior Helpers responds in a timely manner, listens, and works to smooth things out. They are genuinely concerned with my sister’s well being and have provided personal assistance to her outside of scheduled hours.

The staff of Senior Helpers played such a big role in my father’s comfort in his last days. I live in Colorado and was desperate to find someone who could sit with him overnight, following hip surgery due to a fall. It was past 10pm and I was having trouble finding a companion service who could respond on short notice and late at night. Senior Helpers were readily available, and got someone over to spend the night with our father. They provided wonderful companionship during the hours family and friends weren’t able to be with him while he was in a skilled nursing facility. We are very indebted to Senior Helpers and the staff who stayed with him through the wee hours of the night, to make sure he wouldn’t get out of bed and harm himself. It was a comfort to us to know he was safe under their watch.

My husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's. His primary care doctor told us last year that it was time to consider nursing home care. I employed Senior Helpers to care for my wife for 12 1/2 hours daily over more than two and a half years. Management was always available if things like scheduling or questions arose. The caregivers were competent and responsive to our needs. The team we had for the last 15 months was excellent and dependable. They truly did everything to keep my wife healthy , comfortable and safe. Their help in the waning hours of my wife's life was outstanding. I have been using Senior Helpers companions for a little over one year. Initially, my 88 year old father was living in his home and needed a little extra care. The staff at Senior Helpers matched my father with a companion that fit his personality well. As the year progressed and my father's dementia increased, Senior Helpers stayed in close communication with me and provided the staffing that I needed. At one point in time, I had to increase my father's care to 24/7. The challenge of scheduling that many care-givers was complicated, but Senior Helpers met the challenge. Many times I needed to make a change or add staffing in a particular situation. I always could reach a staff member by phone and could count on the companion to arrive on time. Because the staff treats me with respect and compassion, I feel like Senior Helpers is on my team. My father has recently moved into an assisted care facility, but I have kept his first Senior Helpers companion in place. My father has a special friendship with this companion and the continuity has helped him transition to a new home. Upon my father's return to independent living after an extended stay in skilled nursing, we needed a companion to assist with his transition. Senior helpers was recommended not only by the facility where he lives but also by many other of the residents. We were not disappointed! Not only did his caregiver provide a watchful eye and helpful assistance with daily tasks but she was also very patient and caring with my mom who has Alzheimer's. Both of my parents commented on the friendliness of their caregiver and when an unexpected event required a last minute change in staffing, Senior Helpers called me immediately and quickly sent a qualified replacement. I cant say enough great things about the Senior Helpers. My Mom is experiencing dementia and without the constant care from her Senior Helpers companions, who are excellent , caring and responsible individuals I would be in big trouble. I live in another state and cant be around to physically help my Mom. So it is imperative that I have excellent care givers there for her. I rest easy at night and I am secure in the day knowing my Mom is in good hands.
