Easy and quality service
I called handyman matters one week ago for a bunch of small jobs around the house. I was having a hard time finding good contractors to come out and repair our problems. They scheduled us no problem. They were on time and their service professionals were knowledgeable and skilled. We will definitely hire them again!

Overall, very happy for the price paid
We hired HM after reviewing several quotes for the installation of pre-ordered kitchen cabinets, a new sink, and laminate counters for a rental unit in our building. We also needed a new electrical outlet created for an over-the-range microwave, and another outlet changed to GFCI. The initial response and follow up time was terrific and we received our quote within a day or so after we forwarded our computer generated plans. There were a couple of points that I asked for clarification on, and received responses very quickly. Their pricing came in considerably lower than all of the other contractors we contacted. I liked that they insured all of their work for 1 year. Once we decided to book, they were able to get us on the schedule within a week. Two contractors were assigned to our job, and both arrived on time (one was even an hour early). They were polite, friendly and professional. I met the contractor in charge upon arrival and showed him where all of the pre-ordered and delivered supplies were (we had been sent a list from HM for items to have on hand that included things like caulk, construction adhesive, etc), and went over the scope of the job with him. I was a little disappointed that although we were assured he would arrive with a copy of the plans for the kitchen that we provided, he had forgotten them, and said it was ok, because he would "figure out" where each of the 10 cabinets went. Rather than take that chance, I printed out another copy for him, including a list of all the supplies we had purchased (including cabinet screws, toe kicks, fillers and crown molding for the top of the cabinets). They encountered a couple of small snags, and a couple of trips to the Home Depot were required, but overall no major issues. My husband ok'd the work when they said they were finished and wrote a check upon completion. Unfortunately, when I returned home, I noticed right away, that the crown molding had not been installed on the cabinets. In truth, they looked great without it, but we had paid hundreds of dollars extra for it, it was in the plans, and the molding itself was with the rest of the equipment. Upon further inspection, I also noticed that even though they had asked me about caulk when they arrived, and I showed them what we purchased, they had not used any of it around the new countertop. Also, out of 20 cabinets pulls, about a quarter of them were noticeably crooked. This was just a lack of attention to detail, as it is pretty simple to install cabinet pulls. However, I cannot drill other holes in my new cabinets to correct it now, without making it look worse, so I am stuck with crooked pulls on our new cabinets. Aside from the lack of caulk and crown molding, and the cooked pulls, we are so far happy with the initial result based on the price we paid. The cabinets look great, all the doors and doors open fine, and everything is level. The microwave and outlet installation also appears to done well. The countertops look great. We wondered what type of result we would get with a contractor that was priced so far below the other proposals, and feel that even with the small issues we had in the end it was well worth the savings to work with this company. We would consider working with them again for other projects when we are ok with the end result being good, and not necessarily counting on it being perfect.

High quality service
We had a row of siding blow off due to extreme winds. Daniel made short work of getting the siding back on. Explained how it could be repaired/prevented in the future. Removed his shoes when he walked through our house. Took care not to lean the ladder against the siding to prevent damage. Professional service.
