Left a message that inquired if “small” jobs were acceptable. Ruth returned my call, said small jobs were fine and asked me to text pictures. After I sent pictures, nothing but “crickets”. No follow up, no response to my texts. If couldn’t/wouldn’t do job, it would have been courteous to simply pass on the job. Renee, Royse City, TX

Allen gave me a call to ask if he could come a little bit early which was great. When he got here he looked over the plans that we had, measured everything very carefully and was clearly giving thoughtful attention to what needed to be done. He was polite, informative, and just generally pleasant to work with.

We've had several terrible experiences with handymen, but when I was recommended this service and she mentioned that it was woman-owned, I was motivated to give it a shot. The first impression (phoning to make an appointment) was extremely positive; the woman who answered the phone was sharp, fast, professional, and just...nice! That sounds so basic, but she exuded competence, and listened to me in a thoughtful and helpful manner. They're also savvier than other services and employ basic modern technology: text confirmations of appointments and emailed updates telling me when the handyman was dispatched. Many service professionals have atrocious, outdated, or nonexistent web presences, and I can tell the owner has experienced these types of frustrations firsthand and has built a service to address them. The work I needed wasn't extensive, but it was tricky (installation of a shower shelf, which involved drilling into tile and some fiddly anchors/brackets). Allen was super nice and professional, and the work looks great. It's a relief to find a handyman service we can feel good about, since we are new to Dallas and also living in our first home ever, away from family. When life gets overwhelming or a task exceeds our limited skills, it's comforting to have somebody to call and help us. We'll use you again and again!

As usual, Handyman Matters did a great job. Chris arrived early, assessed everything and fixed issues I had with a couple doors in my old Lake Highlands home. He made some adjustments in a lock to make it (and us!) more secure. Weatherstripping, insulation, and new sweeps will keep cold drafts (and summer bugs) out! Thanks for a great job!

Handyman Matters is always so professional and efficient. They send out knowledgeable professionals for the specific task requested. They are efficient with their time, doing a job quickly while making sure the job they complete is quality.
