Questionable Business Practices
Hired Ace earlier this month to replace a battery in a 2 story ceiling smoke detector and to replace some lighting. Handyman showed up and took 20mins to come up with pricing. The 20mins was incorporated in my bill, so no free estimates. I provided a list of items and looking to get a few done in 2-3 hours. The estimate on hours per item were outrageous. He estimated 2 hours to replace 2 simple, modern wiring wall sconces. Estimated 20 mins to replace the battery in the fire detector. Prices were consistently crazy on the other items. I went ahead and let him do the battery and sconces. I counted 11 times he went from my living room to his truck for supplies. Outside of wire cutters and a screwdriver, what else could he be doing!? He was wasting time to get to 2 hrs. Total scam.

I researched this job and found the following. We fully explained how our service works when we set up the appointment. The craftsman arrived on time and reviewed the projects. He and the customer agreed to 1 hour 45 minutes for the tasks to be completed and our craftsman completed those tasks in the allotted time. Our company van GPS puts our craftsmen onsite for 2 hours and 8 minutes and we did not charge for the estimate time. Also, our craftsman was in a different company van that day because his van was in for service. Unfortunately, this could have caused a few extra trips out to the van. Our team is always disappointed when our customers are not completely happy with their service. I have reached out to this customer, apologized that we were unable to satisfy him, and have come to an agreeable resolution. Paul – Owner.

We had our Masterbath remodeled. Paul and Gene were fantastic! Materials were of high quality and workmanship was excellent by Gene. Gene was always on time, he has a great attitude about his work and he takes a lot of pride in his work. Very friendly and always ready to listen. I would recommend them highly! Duane

Excellent high-quality service
I needed some floor transitions installed. I was able to get an appointment within a very reasonable timeframe. The job estimate was spot on (actual cost a little less than quoted). James was very friendly and professional and the quality of work was excellent.

New house
My dryer needed a 4 prong plug and a round-to-oval vent. A pull out pantry shelf also was installed. Very happy with this service. Will definitely use again.

Mark was great!
Woodpecker holes in our cedar house were quickly and efficiently filled by Mark. Excellent work & quality materials. I once worked with a guy who said great leaders instill confidence. Mark’s phone call the previous night did just that! His work was verification of his competence.

Excellent Workmanship
We recently had our master bathroom completely renovated. We really appreciated Jeff from Ace Handyman Services Northeast! He is a very conscientious and hard working individual. His attention to detail is amazing. He is very friendly and knowledgable and answered any questions that came up!
