I recently moved into a high-rise condo, 12th floor, where getting workers into the apartment is not an easy in/out-and-done process. So handyman David's on-time arrival and quick grasp of the parking and security situation was an immediate stress-reliever. We had use of a dedicated elevator for our project for a limited time, which put us on a deadline. I had asked David to remove a 9-foot, built-in desk and file system from what had been a home office, but now is needed as a bedroom. When he was enroute, I realized that part of the unit could be repurposed for use in the clothes closet. I explained my new plan to David and he was enthusiastic about it. He made quick work of dismantling the unit with no damage to it or the walls it was attached to. He cut down the top so that it would fit on the part of the unit I wanted to re-use, and helped me put it into the closet. He pointed out that the drawers would not quite clear the closet opening without a minor adjustment to a hangar rod in there. He was willing to adjust it, but I told him I could handle it (and I did after he left - it was easy). That he brought it to my attention spoke well of his attention to detail and his commitment to doing a good job. I helped him trundle the dismantled unit and his tools back down to the parking area, where we called the condo concierge to OK release of the elevator with time to spare. David gave me tips on how to smooth out the screw holes in the wall where the unit had been attached. He had come prepared to do that touch-up work, but I was getting anxious about that elevator I had reserved, and wanted to just get the dismantled unit out of the building, so I released him from that task. I had booked ACE to haul away the remains of the unit, but because I ended up keeping part of it, there was less to haul away and the ACE manager reduced the hauling fee accordingly, without my asking him to. The task was accomplished within the 2-hour window I had booked, the price was fair and there were no surprise fees. David and his manager were great to work with, very professional and good-humored. I recommend them with thanks for making this project right, fun and successful.

It says something when a customer returns to Ace Handyman services - because of knowing that there will a high degree of confidence in the outcome for the work project. Greg can be counted on to get the project completed.
