This is the second time I've used Handyman Matters. The first time was GREAT, so I called again. What follows is going to sound “rough”, but I recounted my 4 hours to someone after the very nice handyman left and was told I should “let someone know" and I tried to call, but their office was already closed. SO....I was disappointed that most of the things on my list weren’t completed and were left for me to do. All of the work I requested was electrical the first time I used them and it was this time. I have a fluorescent light in garage that doesn’t work (it was determined that it needed a new ballast; he sent me a picture of what I need & I have to go get it), I have an exhaust fan in garage that needs a new motor (nice to know problem, but again I have a picture & need to go get it), I have an outlet box that needed installing (wires are there), but he couldn’t locate the source of power to wires, so I have a non-functioning outlet now and need to call another electrician. He installed a pendant light--however, he mis-cut a piece in the ceiling and had to patch it and left the sanding of the patch to me. SO, I do have 1 of 4 things requested that are working, but another “to-do” list. I am going to try and call again and see if there’s a possible resolution...

Earlier I left a review based on my prior experience (3 stars) about the less than expected quality workmanship and worksite cleanup. The Handyman team was very responsive. They listened to my concerns, gained additional information, and agreed with my assessment. They immediately rescheduled time to come out and make the job right. Plus they took care of their employee by giving him the opportunity to correct his work. He may have been just having a bad day (haven’t we all). Thanks to all for being responsive and cordial to resolve my complaint!

Professional. knowledgeable, respectful. I have been completely satisfied with work done and customer service with multiple projects over last year, or more. Repairing cracks in ceiling, painting, shutter replacements, putting timer switch on outside light, fixing rod to fly flag, ---when I need anything done around my house, I go to HANDYMAN! Jacob is who I always request.

I was surprised the quality was less than excellent for the price of services. Technician left the work site messy. Drywall dust embedded in my bricks, driveway, and lawn where he cut the drywall pieces. Exterior grout stuck to my aggregate driveway. Technician didn’t have correct materials even though they had sent someone out to scope the job a week ago. He had to go to Lowe’s to buy the correct materials and he used my paint to finish the job! Didn’t even bring paint! Technician didn’t finish all work as we had discussed when he arrived. Had to go back on roof to finish the work after I pointed it out. Honestly, I wouldn’t hire them again especially at the high hourly rate. If I am willing to pay that rate, I want top notch workmanship. I will not recommend Handyman Matters to our very active facebook neighborhood group. Disappointing.

After I called regarding a few floor boards were buckling up, they called right back and I had an appt set up for 2 days later. Brian was very timely, nice, neat and knowledgeable. Although the fix was more difficult to correct than originally thought, he fixed the problem floor boards and the floor is nice and flat again.

Showed up on time, fixed smoke detectors and decking, less then the estimate, very professional. Will use again.

I called for two jobs that weren't necessarily big jobs, but they were important and time-sensitive. Handyman Matters came same-day and took care of both jobs. They did an excellent job.
