Misc Repairs
I had some termite damage and some water damage that needed repair. There were also a few miscellaneous items that needed repair. Duane took care of everything and the repairs look great.

Professional installation but questions the post installation added fees.
I was satisfied with the installation but was surprised when it came time to pay. The quote I had originally agreed to was increased by $100.00. The $100.00 was a "transport fee" for moving the new door from my barn to the front porch. At the time I agreed to the original quote I made it clear to the Handyman Matters representative that the door assembly was stored in my barn, weighed 400lbs, and the installer would be responsible to move the front door. Additionally I suggested that it would be advisable, due to the weight, to have help available to safely move the door and offered an opportunity to visit the work site prior to the installation date. Throughout the planning/scheduling period there was never any discussion about an additional charge to transport the door assembly. Since the craftsmen used my table and miter saws and my broom to clean the work area, I could have easily charged them a "tool use" fee. I feel that if Handyman Matters condones adding fees to a quote they should make sure that the customer understands and accepts that risk.

Thank you for the feedback. We take feedback seriously in our business and we use this input to grow and improve our processes. However, we really struggled with this one since we communicated the extra charge to you. The was approved and we received compliments on the installation after completion of the job and then again during our follow up call two days later. Also, this was not a standard installation as you know, but we kept the price down for you.
Job Scope as described on the phone:
• Install a very expensive and heavy door. “If we damage the door (scratch or dings) we own the door per the customer's warning.”
• We had to move the door from the barn to the front porch
• Communicated it was a standard installation
Results:
• This was not a standard installation as we pointed out upon our arrival
• We moved the 400 LB door about 300 hundred feet. The customer failed to mention the distance from the porch to the front door. We charged extra for this and the customer agreed to this.
• The door size was wider than the door casing and we had to make modifications
• The installation went smoothly and the customer was extremely pleased with the work. This was confirmed at the job site and during our follow up call the next day.
• We used a helper for 8 hours on the job but only charged for 2 hours of his time.
• We came in $300 - $400 cheaper than our competitors on this installation.
Final note: It’s not realistic for us to visit every job before doing the work. We rely on our customers to communicate the requirements and our high skill set to complete the work. No one in our industry visits every job before starting the work. We arrive on time, complete the work, guarantee the work and warranty the work. That is our guarantee to you.

Great first-time experience!
We needed some dry wall, base board, and trim work done on and around our back door, but I was reluctant to call a handyman service. I'm glad I did because the process was easier than I thought, and the rates were very reasonable. Our handyman, Paul, was courteous and efficient and we are extremely pleased with his work. We have other projects around the house and I will not hesitate to use their services again. An added bonus is that we received quotes on some of our "to do" projects, plus advice on how to have the work performed under different timelines. This flexibility real helps when you are on a budget.

Awesome job on my roof
We were afraid at first because the quotes we were getting was way to pricey until we found handyman matters. They sent out Anthony and he finished the work in the time frame that was quoted and was very professional. Thank you guys for everything. Can't leave out Danielle who worked with us and continued to follow up great customer service

Very Satisfied, competent and knowledgeable service
We hired Handyman Matters to repair and renew a stair well in the home. There was some water damage and so the source of the water needed to be discovered and fixed. They were able to do this and in doing so discovered another roof leak which I was unaware of. This too was repaired in a timely and professional manner. Their staff was skilled and executed the repairs quickly and with high quality. Anthony did excellent work!
We highly recommend them for all around home repairs
