Carl arrived on time and assessed how to fix the hole that squirrels chewed through our soffit. Even though it was extremely hot that day, he took out the old siding and installed the new siding and drain screens quickly. He was friendly and professional and we were very impressed with the service he provided. We were so pleased with the results that we arranged for Carl to come back on another day to install a new electrical outlet in our bathroom. We would definitely use Ace Handman again.

Hi Scott Ace Handyman Work in my Backyard What A Wonderful job he replaced my water faucet also put down about 25 bags of mulch in my backyard And put down border keep mulch back and also I like the mulch he put down no runoff. We had David Winfield come out to quote removing a small gable roof from over our front door and putting in a new metal roof, making the small porch a full house width front porch. Also redo the wood walkway and replace with new stairs to a couple of gradual deck landings to front entry. First visit seemed hopeful, then David asked for a second visit so that he could bring one of his contractors to look at it. Quote came in about $10K over other two quotes we had so we asked him to come back out and see where we could save some money such as cedar wraps vs solid cedar beams, make the deck landings smaller and a few other ideas that he said would really help us to save. New quote comes in after David’s this last visit $12,000.00 higher than the initial quote! Totally went in the wrong direction from what he said at the meeting. When I called to speak with David to see what I may have been missing (with him raising the quote vs giving us the new lower price based on all we removed) he turned nasty and arrogant very quickly saying he doesn’t keep prior quotes and it is what it is. He said that he already had $600.00 of his time and gas into coming out and wasn’t going to waste anymore time on this. I was shocked! I asked him if he could just take a minute to explain to me how the price went up $12,000.00 when our last meeting was to cut things out (as I did) and his answer was. “You know what, I don’t think we are going to be a fit to work together and basically I’m done putting anymore time into this quote and what you are saying to me just no longer matters, everything you now say is all just minutia at this point.” I asked him again if I had just heard him right and he confirmed that I did and said “bye” and hung up. I am an Interior Designer and have owned my own business for 27 years, never have I met someone so phony and rude.

Carl is awesome. He did an amayzing job on replacing our exterior post. He was punctual, professional and knew exactly what we were invisioning and loved how he asked questions along the way. We are absolutely thrilled with how our project came out. Can’t wait to have him back.
