On time, knowledgeable, neat and careful!!!!!!
Handyman arrived right on time. Did careful and exact workmanship on all projects that we covered in two hours. Very pleasant to work with, and asked my opinion before each job was finalized. It is pricey for someone on Social Security, but well worth it after bad experiences with others who call themselves Handyman.

I had three things I needed help with and was very pleased with the Ace Handyman Service. I would easily recommend the particular one that I had.

Mission accomplished! Skilled craftsmen
Very pleased with the work done by Ace Handyman Services. Irvin installed a new floor from the garage to the kitchen and solved the problem with an electrical outlet. Matt and Irvin built and installed 6 Klearvue cabinets with pullout drawers and a countertop. All cabinets secured safely to the wall. 3 different projects completed successfully! Thank you!

My grill works!
Matthew arrived promptly and diagnosed the problem with my grill. He quickly fixed it and then installed a new igniter kit (not necessary, but so appreciated). The task was completed quickly and I was good to go. I have so enjoyed grilling since. Matthew also recommended Cynch for propane delivery which I tried and was so glad I did--they picked up the empty propane and placed a full tank on my back patio. Thank you for such a great experience!

Bad Preparations for a Visit
With Ace-Handyman, the handyman comes to your house and brings with him or her the materials he needs for the job. These are based on a telephone conversation between a representative of the company and the client. There is no pre-visit to assess what is needed for the job. In my case, I needed the gap between the driveway and my garage cleaned out and filled again. At no time did the rep ask me the width of the gap. I sent photos of the gap. The handyman came to the job with a 3/4" wide roller and discovered that the gap was closer to double that. He asked me to try to buy a wider roller at the local Ace. He also came with 6 filler tubes that cost $10.27 per tube. The local Ace had only 3/4" so he told me to buy another one. He tried to correct the problem of the width being too small by twisting the two 3/4" rollers together. Then he started adding the filler. Not having a proper roller size made the amount of filler that he brought insufficient. He asked me to go to Home Depot to buy 24 more filler tubes. The Home Depot did not have enough of the color he had brought so I had to buy two different colors. Next he found that he still did not have enough filler and he went to another Home Depot to buy more. Even this was not enough so he had to make another trip. He worked hard to provide a solution, but I ended up paying about $550 on the filler. I also wanted him to paint the ceiling around a light fixture. The rep had assured me that the handyman carried ceiling paint. He did not so I had to go buy that. He was at my house longer than I had been assigned so that cost was higher than I had anticipated. As a customer, I would have been much happier to have the rep make a much better assessment of the products needed for the job. The handyman could come to the job with everything he needed. The company could have bought everything at Ace, but somehow the handyman was using Home Depot products. Perhaps Ace did not have these. I ended up with a bill that was almost $1000 and that did not include the $300 I spent at Ace. I believe their model for assessing the materials needed for jobs fail me. If you are thinking of them working at your home, be sure that the rep can give you a estimate of what is needed and that the handyman comes with the products. It is better to have someone to make a pre-visit and make an estimate. I will not use Ace Handyman again.
