My first experience with Ace Handyman Services was very favorable. The craftsman, Jeremy, arrived on time and ready to work. He was an excellent communicator and gave me very good advice. He performed all the work to a very high standard and he was very pleasant to deal with. I will request Jeremy the next time we need handyman services.

Joe was my handyman today and I cannot express how outstanding he was! He was extremely professional, friendly, and explained everything so that I could understand what he was doing. He was eager to answer all my questions. When he finished he cleaned up after himself and made sure it was spotless. I highly recommend Joe if you are in need of any of their many services.

Jeremy assembled and installed a new ceiling fan for us. He listened as I explained the details of what I wanted and he gave helpful suggestions . He also helped fix a broken floodlight in the back of our house. He was very particular as he completed his work. He was professional, pleasant and skilled. Thanks so much Jeremy!

Robert recently completed work at our house. We needed to have a lamp replaced. He gave excellent input regarding the size and placement and what would work best. He also installed a new ceiling fan in our kitchen ( which looks great) . In addition to this he replaced many of our outlets that needed to be updated. Jeremy came to our home to make some general repairs on a landscape light and bathroom fixtures. He listened to what I had to say, gave honest recommendations, went right to work and cleaned up afterwards. He said he had extra time on our request and asked me what else I needed done. He gave some suggestions. I had the dryer vent cleaned out. We had a lovely conversation. I brought up needing additional help in the future with specific projects. We will welcome him back to our home in an instant.

I used Ace Handyman Service Harrisburg before and was satisfied. Last week I had them come out to trench an electric line and install an outdoor lamp post. I had all the materials ready and any needed tools on demand. I came out after an hour and the trench was not done and he was trying to loosen the soil using a drill. At one point he was shoveling the trench with a scooper. I had to jump in to help, defeating the whole point of saving time to work on another project. When the second hour was up, he still was not done, and he failed to pour gravel into the hole before adding the concrete. I had to finish installing the lamp post. The bill was $350, which is $175/hour for a straight forward job. And, I thought the original quote of $200 for the job was high ($100/hour). I feel like I wasted my time and money. The best part is he left his clamp on the post for the concrete to set. I asked what I needed to do with the clamps. He told me to return them to the Harrisburg office the next day. I feel scammed. Never again. Lesson learned. I don't know what changed between now and the last time I used them, but it certainly is not for the better.

So now I am re-writing my review. Ace hardware just appeared at my door to redo the parts of the porch. Joe has been wonderful and he is currently fixing up my porch for me. In most cases they would not come back and redo their work. If a customer is not satisfied however, this company was right on it and as I said they are here now fixing up my porch. Thank you.
